Shane Edwards

Appears that he is on the up... thought his career was gone pre Wallace's departure. Hope he keeps improving and needs to put on a couple of pounds!

Agree.
Improving. He has shown enough to keep next year.

he has improved heaps but to take his game to the next level he needs to put on 6 to 8kgs....i actually see him as a keeper but not at this playing weight only cause of the position he plays, small running back....

Improving fine. Great to see him take on players. Some had him as best on ground. Cant see how his game was anywhere near Deledio's last night but second best in my book in an insipid game.

Edwards is definitely a keeper for mine, from what I can see, there are no technical issues with his kicking just a case of over exuberance. A good coach should be able to iron out his tendancy to run into trouble - importantly, by creating a well drilled support network (ie. shepards, tackles and hard running linkmen) he has the potential to become a real playmaker.

If ever Edwards goes onto the open market, I bet rival clubs would be licking their lips because this guy seems to be made for the modern game. Unlike Raines, he doesn't get caught too often but is able to consistently break the lines, trouble is there are few options on offer when he evades one and maybe two tackles. This causes tremendous pressure on his own disposal, often leading to a turnover.

Put Edwards in a professional unit and his stocks would rise immeasurably, I just hope Hardwick has the nous to build a team with Edwards as a central playmaker.

Shane has improved and deserves time to see what he can with a different coach, Terry coached him poorly (well he coached, or rather not coached, everyone poorly), but he did improve once Terry was gone. Needs to spend the summer in the gym adding muscle to that slight frame.

one of the very few tigers that finished the season on the front foot...has gone past quite a few and looks to be a player :clap

Shane actually goes quite well in congestion and has good hands in tight yet when out in spcae his disposal suffers at times, the kid needs to settle improve his poise when he has time and space and work on his disposal and obviously needs another few kgs on him.

I think Hardwick will work wonders with all of these guys including Edwards will give the side a harder edge & being a younger coach will relate to them better!!

I gave him 3 votes. Looked to me as though he had modeled his game on Deledio, and did not come up too far short IMO. That game was gut-wrenching to watch and i thought that he was one shining light. His stats were good given he is not played on the ball and is accountable for an opposition forward. Gave plenty of blocks and 1%ers but most of all, took the game on at every opportunity.

Needs to build up core strength, improve spot-up kicks over 20-30 metres and improve the way he holds the ball when in a contested situation, so he can control the release to our advantage.

Definite keeper. Improving all the time, will be a good player. Good South Aussie boy too.

Yeah, it's good to see rise above that Shawry ;D

Shane is making better decisions now, and his game looks better as a consequence. It's practice, game time and few extra kgs, and we have an absolute star on our hands!

Star? Big call pharacio but he is showing promise and works harder on his game than most.
Hopefully becomes a reliable onballer for us.
