Semi finals 2022: Cleaning dog hair off the couch games

Everybody talks about how even the competition is, there is very little between teams.

Lot's of talk about how elite sport is often played between the ears and so many examples of this. Look at the talent of Kyrgios, imagine if he had it together mentally. Look at so many forwards who miss shots from 15m out directly in front and then slot them from 50 on the boundary.

Culture is a factor, everything is a factor, that's the nature of elite sport, it is so close between those at the pointy end you get an advantage wherever you can. In a team sport it is the teams which are greater than the sum of their parts which succeed, and that's culture.

I think it is outrageous that Berry got a week.
Sorry, have to disagree but I think the AFL got this one right. As much as I regret that Berry cannot play next week against the Moggies, you cannot condone or overlook any player doing any kind of eye gouge. There was the *mitigating circumstance of having Oliver's forearm across his throat, but still, Oliver's eye clearly showed the damage to his eye, and fairly unrestrained anger at Berry which some might call out for being a 'dobber'.
But who knows what influence it had on the rest of his game, which seemed to drop off, and his vision?

I feel really sympathetic to Berry who IMO won the game for Brions after going in the middle. One of the best finals 2nd half efforts I've seen.

Brions can always do a Carlton and appeal, and appeal again, until you get cleared. A heavy fine might be the other alternative, perhaps justified in the circumstances too. As above*, and players do things in the moment under huge physical pressure. It's a PF too!

Yeah Yinnar and my great nephew Harri McColl, kicked two goals for them. So proud.
They were both beauties.

He lost his headband part way through the 3rd quarter, and caused a memorable commentator call: "and here comes Harri, looking like Jesus on the wing".

Brian Taylor says in realtime

'No doubt whatsoever hes just gouged his eyes'

When there was a galaxy of doubt.

Boys Club
He also said that the ARC doesn’t work for Brisbane!

*smile* imbecile of the highest order. Worst commentator ever.

Should be sacked.

The visible damage was supposedly from last week

When the pies came on that noise was nothing compared to when we came on in the 2017 PF, and that first goal by Lambert was deafening

Freo going better early than the scoreboard suggests. Systematic, not rushing. Cwood the only ones going quick.

People are tweeting the footage of Jeremy Cameron eye gouging Pickett which is 5 times worse.
Yeah, if you watch in slo-mo, Berrys fingers go to Olivers eyes and dig around. If you watch in real speed while Berry's head is being pushed into the ground his hand pushes up and very momentarily goes near Oliver's eyes.

Cameron was looking straight at Pickett and deliberately put his fingers very close, if not into, Picketts eyes.

I reckon he will get off on appeal.
