Season defining Tiges v Dogs - Game Day Thread

I'm liking that win
pressure right up
got in the Dogs heads
some fluid passages of play that ended up as goals

Already the press ensuring our win is not over stated: "The Dogs will again rue a woefully poor conversion rate around goal" and "While Richmond was terrific, the Dogs' defeat was also some way self-inflicted: their inefficiency in front of goal was costly" and " The Dogs started the night with the yips in front of goal" and "Although wasteful the Bulldogs were clearly the dominant team" etc etc. hahahaha - glad we won but it really pissing off that reporter.

6 10ths of the way there

Most uninspiring win I have seen in a very long time.
Footscary are over rated.
But we have 5 players who are either past there best or just not good enough.
Edwards, was back to 2009 standard.
Cotchin, cant just have 3 cameos a game.
Flappers and Pickett they are players you have when your 2nd last.
Best Rioli Bolton Pickett
Moron, his best game since his debut.

What stood out tonight was the team’s ability to disrupt the bulldog’s flow through successfully getting a hand on a ball, or execute a smother, or a spoil in a marking contest and then get the ball going the other way.

We’ve all noticed that their pressure hasn’t been at the levels of 2017-20 this year; some of that is personnel and some if is other teams getting better.

They have tried to apply their trademark pressure in other games this year but have not had the same success as this evening.

*smile* ‘em! They can say whatever they want, but at the end of the day we’ve got 4 points and the Dogs have got nothing.

The humorous thing is that we had the exact same amount of scoring shots........guess it's a non story!
