Sam Lloyd

Has kicked multiple goals 7 times from 21 games, which is a pretty good effort considering he would have been the sub in almost half of those 21 games.
Will kick 30 plus goals a season if given a decent opportunity.

I thought the last year as well, Dimma seems to not agree

Not sure about that. Gordon is gone. Lloyd stayed and played 1st game. I think the decision has been made and hopefully Lloyd gets a full run at cementing his possie this year.

How clean are his hands! Love watching him near the ball just a little uncanny.

Sub rule scrapping has saved his AFL career. Needs 20min to get 3 touches for 3 goals. Will never get 25 touches, not that type of player. Looks a lot leaner, just needs to be close to goal, be in the right places, get his 6 kicks and kick his 2 a week.

He was in the right spot for his forth goal if Jack had of decided to handball to him instead of attempting another one of his 'over the shoulder' impossible shots.

He didn't know if he was allowed to touch the ball before 3qtr time because he thought he still was a sub.
The kid has talent.

Ball finders will find the ball, gut runners will run all day, ball butchers will inevitably butcher the ball but goal sneaks will find the goals..........

Gotta keep playing Lloyd.
Most of the time when he gets the ball something beneficial occurs for the team.
He may not get much of the footy in some games but I just reckon he has a bit of an X-factor about him that the team requires ... that dodging weaving goal on the left foot was an absolute ripper and really lifted the team ... he may be no Cyril Rioli but he can be damaging and reckon this would be even moreso if he was given the opportunity to cement his spot in the team over the next five or six weeks.
Could quite well be a 30-35 goal player this season.

I think that having Rioli in the team will help him immensely. In Dimma's eyes he can probably afford to play Lloyd with Rioli bringing all the pressure in the forward 50.

Based on past behaviour would have been subbed on Friday night too had the rule still been in place

I don't get why he was used as the sub so often, to me he should've started every game and then perhaps subbed off for someone with a bit of pace if he was having a quiet game.

Good points. One moment that stands out to me, was the winning goal he kicked deep in the last quarter against Hawthorn last season. What a gem that was! Hard up against the left hand side boundary line, about 40m out, surrounded by two Hawthorn players about to scruff him in a millisecond, jams it on the left foot, game over! Go suck a bag of dicks Hawthorn.

Well and truly my favourite win of last season. That goal and Lambert's goal in the third.....those two moments alone made me lose my voice that night.
