Happy to see him play. He can hit the scoreboard from limited opportunities which will be vital tmrw night.

Me too ? Need him to play to allow Edwards the odd run in the middle

He isn't super quick but is strong through the hips and can break a tackle. Hopefully he can just make a few more contests and improve the defensive side of his game. Whilst Lennon and he have played similar roles up forward thus far at Tigerland I'd like to see Lennon on the wing.

Doubt Lennon has the pace for the wing, nor the stamina. Best in FL where his quality marking and kicking is to goal-scoring advantage.

However, not certain he'll play unless has fully recovered from illness; GFever takes time to get out of the system.

Hence, Lambert, Lloyd and Menadue more likely.

he was worked really hard over the preseason.
Hope he has a day out against carlton

Lloyd has real goal sense and that's something you can't really teach.....still not sure about him though as he isn't very versatile.....maybe he doesn't need to be though if he can snag a few from limited opportunities every week.....Maybe he just needs to get more games into him to start getting more opportunities around goal. Going to be interesting in our forward line this year with him, Rioli, Lennon, Lambert and a few others fighting for those spots.

Spot on about the goals. I don't care if he gets three touches a game as long as two are goals. Reckon if he goes at two a game he will be in the side for a while yet. And I reckon he can.

Would be nice if it were to happen, there's 40 of the goals we need.

Fingers crossed anyway, I'm a fan

Me too. The other things I like about him is he's bull strong, has a low centre of gravity (hard to knock over), spins on a dime, has decent lift and can take a grab.

Yeah Fiten agree with all that. Can't wait til he takes a hanger.

Off on a tangent...
I have played with and against guys like Lloyd in suburban footy. Pisshead journeyman who come to town for a year or two, win a couple of goal kicking trophies and head to the next town. I have seen some absolute freaks train halfarsed once a week and the go out and kick 7+ every week. Usually goals out of their backside and plenty of hangers. I have often wondered how they would have gone at the elite level. For most it's too late, but I reckon Lloydy got into the system just in time.

Anyway, I reckon he fills a gap in our collective skill set so I am rapt he is in.

Has never really had AFL level fitness and if he has it now then he can be a weapon.

Very different looking forward line with Lloyd, Rioli and Edwards in it.

I'm not a fan, but can understand what the club is hoping he'll bring. I would love to eat my words, but I don't think he's got the physical attributes needed.

Hope he kicks 4 this week.

If Lloyd gets the ball a few times, he'll kick a nice bag. He sure knows where the goals are. Very clever player, just needs to be in the play a bit more often.

Agree as long as his defenders each week dont set up bags of goals from running of him

That's a great observation, bar.

I like him because we can rely on him to snap a goal. We have no other at this stage.

Interesting to if he playes 14 -16 games, where there is no SUB rule, you would hope he is on the to 35+ goals for 2016. If not will not be there 2017 I would think.

I like him inside 50. His weaknesses get multiplied when he pushes up into the midfield. I like the way he drags his man away from the tall, makes himself dangerous and needs to be watched and allows 1 on 1's to happen. If he kick 3-4-5 I won't be shocked. He's got that against so so sides. Having Rioli out there helps him.

Dimma really stuffed up with these selections, doesn't he realise these guys are natural forwards?
I know. I guess the recruiters have been picking so many players he doesn't want for a few years now and he hasn't got anyone left to pick.

Bar's right about him, SCOOP. He's a bush champion of sorts struggling for the athletic conditioning and demands of the big city.

He's the only bloke in the side who will snap reliably across the body. And he only needs a glimpse to hit the target. He's half pie a toff.

I'm glad he's in and I hope he does well. He's a balancing player for us. We have to play him close to goal.
