I actually think sub is the ideal position for Lloyd. If he starts he seems to spend large parts of the game doing very little, whereas using him as sub allows him to come on and give us a handy goal like he did tonight.

agree. use him as - excuse the vernacular - a pinch-hitter.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Has xfactor about him. Would prefer his goal sense over Gordon anyday of the week.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

If he keeps coming on as a sub and kicking a goal he,ll keep being the sub.

I like him but suspect now he will make way for Edwards.
Well you really can't argue about that, but Lennon probably ensured his place; it was great to get Conca back and Lambert's flying. Injury always creates openings, unfortunately, but we have had a gutful of those. Lloyd did his prospects no harm last night; have a feeling he will make it now. And Newman is nearing the end.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

If Sam played all 23 games there is little doubt he would kick 35+ goals and that's being conservative. Inherit goal kicker has his flaws but ultimately goals ate are goals.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Poor bugger. Comes on for 10mins, displays perfect forward nous, kicks a crucial game that not many on our list could while helping us get us the win and is still dumped.

In someones eyes its better to have " the Liability" Morris in the side than a natural goal kicker such as Lloyd

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

I feel sorry for the likes of Lloyd and McDonough. Must be so confused at how the Morris's get chance after chance, year after year, when the club continually states performance will be rewarded.

"We feel Sam needs a full game in the VFL to maintain his fitness level...."

Sam must have done something wrong last week to be dropped. I wonder what it was?

Was always going to be the first out if a change was required, I don't think a conspiracy theory is required
