Sam Lloyd

Really admire Lloyd. Cut from the Swans but made the most of his talent with us. But I still think he needs an injury to happen for him to get into the finals squad.

Sort of player that could make a decent salary playing the country / minor leagues.
He made his name in the country leagues, before being signed by the Tigers, his big claim to fame was that he'd kicked over 100 in a season for Deniiquin playing as a small forward.

sounds like there could be a couple of teams interested in Sam Lloyd this year, Dont believe we will get any decent pick for him but maybe a 3rd rounder or our 3rd upgraded to a 2nd if we are lucky and a club like Gold Coast have an interest

I can see Lloyd doing the same as Miles did last year and hang around in the hope of winning a flag ( AFL )
He's kind of done that this year, however he is more likely of playing in a flag side at the Tigers than Miles is, although with Lloyd it depends on who else is available. He really does rely heavily on injury to get a spot in our finals side.

Miles is currently our 23rd-25th player and at his age is not going to get any better, If i was him i would be looking for a 3 year deal at a lower club for $1 mil and set myself up rather than stay at tigers for $200k

Spoke about this on Maher's show last week. I agree. He's too good to be playing VFL and he won't get a spot in our team. I like him, but he'd be better off at a club that will at least play him in the ones more often than not.

I like Lloyd. If we get Lynch, trading Lloyd for a pick upgrade maybe best for both parties. Salary cap space and improved draft position for us. Consistent AFL games for Lloyd. He is good enough just not a spot for him in our best 22

We've used 34 players this year and Miles is one of two players to play just the 1 game this year. (The other being Soldo.)

Miles very clearly isn't our 23rd-25th best player.

So to add to this conversation. Would we think it highly likely that, this coming off season, we lose three players who have played very prominent roles in the twos this year? Those being Lloyd, Miles and Bolton?

If it does happen this way. Quite a blow to our depth - not as much coverage for injuries. But perhaps some handy draft upgrades, if done right.

All three of these guys would get significant game time at lower clubs. Sounds like Bolton most likely to head to Freo (I'd suggest he'd certainly make their ones regularly) if a deal can be done. Wonder who of the lower clubs would be sniffing about Lloyd and Miles?

Keep Lloyd. He's great depth at the very least.

I reckon he'd want to stay unless he gets a 2 year deal somewhere else.

That's what we want, we get a pick for Conca and we keep Lloyd. Win-win

Been told 2 year deal with Dogs on the table.
