Rucking Hell

Lobb is going nowhere - a Canberra boy from memory. Mumford is happy is Sydney and will probably resign at GWS.
I would to think that after this debacle the club would try a bit harder than just giving up because Lobb is from Canberra and Mummy is happy in Sydney.

Mummy was happy at Bunyip but went to Geelong vfl for a better opportunity.
He was then happy at Geelong AFL but went to Sydney for more money and security.
Mummy was happy at Sydney but went to GWS for even more money and more security.

See the trend?

Richardson & Hartley are on the record as saying our ruckstocks were in good shape post trade period.
This despite the fact that Maric was destroyed by Goldstein in the Elimination final & Hampson went in for reconstructive surgery on both ankles.

The term negligent comes to mind.
There have been abundant list management *smile* ups but for this alone they should be sacked on the spot.

How can they not see what we all see

(35 years of Rucking Hell indeed !!!)

When was the last time we developed a ruckman at Richmond - Mark Lee (80's) Benny Gale (90's) - that's it. ?? 2 in 35 years.. very sad!

Those that have been ok recruited from other clubs to Richmond
Greg Deer, Stafford, Symmonds. Maric

Those that have failed from other clubs to Richmond
O'Dwyer, Trent Noble, Ben Marsh, Orren Stephenson

Sad list of failed home grown talls who never made a fist of it in the ruck.
Brad Smith, Ray Hall and Angus Grahame , Adam Pattinson, Andrew Browne, Tom Derikx . Vickery, Griffo, McBEan all 200cm, none of them a outright ruckman!!! Jury out on Chol and Soldo.

And the ones we let go that in hindsight we should not have
Mathew Clarke, Brad Ottens

Just a sad 35 year period of just poor selection and development of ruckmen at Richmond.!!!

Terribly sad. Don't forget Ottens wanted to be number 1 ruck but we just kept pushing to be a CHF.

Reckon we should have rolled the dice and thrown a heap of money at Lobb.

He might go somewhere, if the pastures are 'green' enough. Getit? Money is green so... ahhh I give up. :help

Have heard from behind the scenes that Zac Clarke has even less appetite for the contest than Griff and Vickery.

Definite no.

you only have to watch a game.

The club that thinks a ruckmen will fall out of a tree.
Why not chase Mumford when he left Geelong
Why not chase smith
Maric is in big trouble. Can't see him and Chaplin continuing next year

Maybe get chol forward with jAck and reinvent ty v as a ruckman

Ty is a scared mouse when in a centre square ruck contest. Will never ever be a first ruck and if he is then we're more screwed than I thought.

The titanic only took 3 hours to sink.
This club won't sink, it's Been full of holes for 36 years, but it won't sink
Merge
Move to Cuba

Given that talls take a long to develop. Anyone know if there are any in early 20s running around at state league level whom didn't get their shot via conventional draft means as teenagers, that might be worth a look??

Even if there were, with our recruiting team we would end up redrafting Angus Graham.

I really hope we don't go after Clarke. We need a beast, not another ballet dancer.
Agree. Clarke is no better than what we have now.

We need to find the next Maric. May not leap over tall buildings but has a presence on the ground.

Is Soldo the one?
