Round 22 - the dead goldfish games.

Melbourne got the win but still think they can't win it. Their forward line is full of softos. Their vaunted midfield has disappeared. Put May and Lever under pressure and they melt.

If Melksham is carrying your forward line you're in trouble.
Yep. That late goal is, in a way, papering over some big cracks.

Dogs v Dorks now a big game too next week. The only way to get these cheats out of the finals.
The fixture is a bit *smile* next week with the dogs game on first. Dogs may lose so then the Pies Blues is for nothing. Simultaneous games would be great.

Should know the result of the Dogs game by quarter time. Hopefully they get up.

That's the AFL for you. Could've done like the finals and decided after R22.

Flag at Cats mercy. They are organised as *smile* and can turn on chaos switch if necessary.
Praying for elimination Us v Pies just for the utter epicness.

Cats and Swans seem like the best teams left in the comp. The rest all have big question marks for me.

Melbourne - They won't win the premiership with pure reliance on their midfield. They cannot clear their defensive zone as have no-one to take marks down the wing
Freo - Probably the biggest unknown, very hot and cold
Pies - I reckon they will be thrashed one of these days, potentially tomorrow. You simply cannot continue to give up the amount of territory that they are and continue to beat the better sides.
Brisbane - Not great and can't win away from Qld IMO
Carlton - Nope not winning it

They got the rough end of the pineapple from the umps too I reckon. I'm not a fan of May, but he got shoved in the back a fair bit.
Carlton got away with so many shoves in the back, arm chops and ball throws.

Football, like life, comes down to a few moments.

Blues shouldn't have lost when controlling the ball with a minute left.

Owies kicks backwards to Saad, missing him, forcing Saad long down the line, and away go the Demons.

And there's the season there. Had it, lost it. Like 8-2 to (likely) missing finals.

You get what you deserve in footy.

Thats perfectly said papering over cracks.

Blues had em dead to rights and shouldve won it.

They've got the staggers the Deez had em for a few weeks now, they are running out of steam and their structure is falling down up forward without both McDonald and Jackson coming out of HF.

That was where they stretched their opposing defences last year, with the 3 big forwards benefitting from Gawn and Olivers dominance in the middle.

I think the Bears can roll em over next week and put the skids under them.
