Round 22: The Chadstone car park games.

The Darcy Moore hammy is a gamechanger. Integral to the Pies defence. Looked like a pretty bad one (high) despite the brave face given his history...

That was a 30 point victory, not 8.
Agree.

Geelong always get the umpire’s decision in favour of them. And that pathetic club started the free kick Hawthorn bash tag after a loss.

Grant Thomas having a ping at Paddy for flopping and “seducing the umpires”. :ROFLMAO:

A reminder there's now 4 of them.
I honestly think it's bigger than the umpires now.
The plethora of rules in the game is ridiculously hard to police given the current speed of the game.
It's a mess.
No speed on the game when the player with the ball is outside the boundary n turns around to hand ball it back to another player who is also outside the boundary line. Any ten year old fan of the game could tell you that was a throw in and not play on. Two paid professional umpires standing right on the spot with perfect view couldn't understand what the rule was.

Who’s gonna to win the free kick contest?
Umpires are going to be busy
I think we now know Geelong trump Collingwood in the umps eyes.

Collingwood frees: 10, 0 in the F50
Geelong: 17, 4 in the F50.

And Cameron’s 2 goals from out of bounds.

Those errors last night had nothing to do with speed or a plethora of rules. One was at a stoppage, another just a standard play and so on. Geez they can’t even bring a ball back from a wild centre bounce anymore like the Soldo incident v Melbourne. Another stoppage. All of them, fundamental rules that a 9 year old kid knows.

That’s just incompetence and nothing else. The umpiring was already at a low standard and now it’s reached new depths.

Did someone kill off the umpire thread?

All four field umpires and the boundary umpires from last night should be forced a la the coaches to sit and face a press conference on their performance last night. 1 of the out of bounds wrong decisions may have been excusable.

O’Gorman I think was the officiating umpire and needs to be sacked immediately. That is not a mistake. It is not an error in judgement. It is not unsighted. It is not I got it wrong. Beyond ineptitude. It is something else.

And it happens every single week.

There is no rule book anymore umps have favourites and make rules up on the go

O'Gorman is the umpire I hate the most. He's either a cheat or totally inept. Either way he has no place umpiring at AFL level.

Got a question, its an odd one. So Ginnivan had a long sleeved jumper on, traditional, official stripey sleeves that have been around since Tom Wills, Howe has his one-armed jumper on, all black. I don't get it.

And that Cameron OOB goal was a doozy, 2 umps standing right there, a couple of Collingwood players remonstrating as it was happening. geez.

Isn’t Richardson in charge of the umpires- he failed at everything else - it’s the last chance saloon for afl rejects

Yes it looks like howe is time travelling to a past era to adopt bad fashion but really it’s a compression device for his recently broken arm

There's still a rule book, pity the maggots have decided they'd rather invent their own each week as they go along. Just so bloody annoying for those fans stupid enough to believe the game needs the written rules to be followed by the adjudicators.

Arsewipe Chris Scott at his gaslighting best in his presser. Apparently he didn’t see the controversial Jizza goal in the last quarter where Close was standing outside the boundary and hand balled to Jizza, also outside the boundary, who then kicked a goal. Apparently people “who know a lot about footy” (read SHocking) told him it wasn’t out of bounds! Seemed incredulous that a journo would even question it!

As if he didn’t see it. What a lying sack of *smile*. Not sure there has been a more unlikeable figure in the game. By extension he has made Geelong an extremely hateable club.
Just classic vintage Scott, the more wrong he is, the more fake indignant and defensive and gaslighting.

"I didn't see it" does anybody believe that? 'people who know a lot about footy' say it was inside the field of play, ie the journo asking the question knows nothing about footy, and neither do any of us except these "people".

Anyway the AFL have come out today, incredibly, they didn't 'tick it off'. Officially stated that Goal should have been disallowed and should have been a ball-in. Wonder what Scotty and his "people" reckon now?

One of my favourites, the appealing to authority argument.

Too often disseminated by people who think they are smarter than they actually are.

What the F does 'knowing a lot about footy' have to do with having functioning eyesight?

W**ker
