Round 16 - the Meryl Streep games.

For some reason Carlton supporters have a genetic predisposition to attach a woof call to a player. Val Perovic, Dorotich, Ang Christou, now Saad. the odd thing the previous 3 players could hoof it, it was silly tonight with the woof calls on saad when he chipped it 14 metres.
Some went 6 metres but the marks were paid.

WATCH: This could seriously be the worst 'holding the ball' ever paid

Dan Butler couldn’t believe it- and neither could the Saints fans!

Shocker.

The maggot probably thought Butler was still playing for Richmond!

Saints got a good old fashioned rogering by the umps tonight, much like we do every week.

Their last 7 games. 4 of them are pretty tough.
Cats
Lions at the Gabba
Dees
Pies
Should have Collingwood covered with a fit side in by then (no guarantees), but the other three spell trouble.

People will say last night put a line through top four hopes, but really, that was never happening this year and I'm not sure why it's been pumped up that way in the media. Anyone who reckons Carlton are the fourth-best in it has rocks in their head.

Had one of the softer draws to start the season which have made the Blues look better than what they are, never underestimate the value of banking a few early wins for the confidence levels.

Essendon last season had a soft draw and wound up in the eight. Blues aren't as bad as that lot, and the list is tenfold more talented, but it looks a similar story here in terms of the draw flattering a club. Bombers didn't have that luxury this season and look where they are now - having said that, I can't see a capitulation like theirs happening next season.

Making the eight and winning a final would be a big step forward and a bonus at this point, particularly after last year - 19-straight goals conceded to Port Adelaide being the low-point among a host of matches where even the worst teams (North) scored heavily and easily.

It's been a commendable leap forward this year in one pre-season, on and off the field with some scalps taken along the way, but let's be realistic.

It's funny Bulter got pinged for sitting on the ball earlier in the game too.
But Walsh sat on the ball on 3 occasions for a ball up call.
Cripps is the only footballer that is allowed 34 mins to dispose the ball. He is tackled, spun 360 and there's no call for holding the ball.
I really thought the umpiring were going to get Carlton over the line.
Curnow is a bit of a flog, he kicks 1 goal from directly in front and Is jumping around like he just one the flag.
They are not going any where near a flag with players like Newes, Newman, Plowman, Cotrerial, Silivagni and Honey
Not sure Cerra is any good.
I want them to fall into a hole, back to the bottom 6 where they belong, they have become soo cocky and smug after half a season.

Can you stop being reasonable, intelligent and decent? You are ruining my image of Carlton supporters!

Everything that’s wrong with our game right there. It’s the easiest free kick to adjudicate but they *smile* it up so often.

AFL will tick it off.

AFL will tick it off.
On channel 7 they have already said that the AFL have ticked off the decision, stating that it was careless and not intentional, with the broadcast suddenly being cut off, (they had accidentally pressed play on the wrong prerecorded message).

Just wanted to check in to see if there's any news on McKay's well being.... early onset of some kind of disorder it appears.

At least the flogs provide some good comedy.

even by the extremely low, broad and inconsistent standards of enforcing HTB, that was an outlier. A doozy. Strange. I was watching, the ump was right there, WTF?

Typical bloody Carlscum supporter. BB gun is bending over big time hoping to gain some compassion n acceptance in enemy territory. Just a bloody facade, the real Carlscum supporter is just quietly simmering away getting ready to overwhelm us with the usual pungent aroma that Carlscum cooks up.

Just watching a pro-mo on fox footy of previous Swans v Essendon games, the Bombers have had some heartbreaking loses against them.........fairly sad that:)

I'm probably reading too much into this but just watching Essendon doing a pre match warm up where all the players were running on the spot facing the goals and then they had to quickly turn and sprint towards the centre circle. All except one who wasn't running on the spot and was already facing towards centre so he could take off quickly and be first in this dash. I bet you can all guess which player was the cheat.
