Round 15: the sinus infection games.

Been saying for 18 months now that Simpson needed to go.

This is what happens when you fail to address the obvious.

Agree it’s obvious but you also need to time it so the new coach isn’t sacked within two years

I lasted 3 minutes watching this Freo v Essendon game.

What a rubbish round of footy. AFL is seriously battling

Seriously reckon the AFL is trying to kill Saturday football given the games they’ve scheduled this year.

Would make sense given the fans overwhelmingly vote every year that Saturday is their favourite day for football…

Is it just me or has the quality of trainers in the AFL risen dramatically in the last few years ? Just sayin…

Could be coincidence Red (obviously a few other moving parts at play also), but SANFL footy seems to be undergoing a bit of a resurgence at present. Obviously nowhere near its glory days. But some reasonably healthy Saturday afternoon crowds, particularly for some of the bigger clubs. Noting that their two AFL teams never play Saturday afternoon home matches.

Seems to be a lot of interstate games played on Saturday between nothing teams eg GWS, GC etc and also Hawthorn playing a lot on Saturday (10 games).

These threads are like an echo chamber these days. Don't think too many people are watching opposition games where the Tiges aren't involved. A reflection of the state of footy.
