Round 15: the sinus infection games.

Hard to feel sorry for West Coast, a club that's been one of the most successful outfits of the AFL era winning four flags, including one less than five years ago among four grand final appearances in the past 18 years.

Perhaps the most laughable (or depressing) part of it all is despite the hole they're stuck in at the moment, I'd bet my house they'll win another premiership before Carlton.

Simpons presser. Incredible, contradictory, incoherent, cliched jibberish. Why was he signed and regardless, why hasn't he been sacked? I don't understand

He should have gone 18 months ago. The writing was on the wall back then that he just wasn’t registering with the players anymore. Personally, I find him as boring and droll as bat *smile*.

WCE like to play the steady, hold firm approach when they struggle, but this has gone beyond the pale. They need to think about the young kids they’ve got there eg Ginbey, Hewett, Chesser, Hough, Barnett, Bazzo, Long etc and make a change quickly before they destroy their confidence entirely.

There were lots of stories last year about the standards at WCE and that a bunch of people - including players - needed a kick up the arse but Simpson was too soft on them.

Jye Amiss is an old-fashioned full-forward. Leads hard, straight at the ball carrier. Marks it. Simply, efficiently, technically correctly, calmly, kicks the ball over the goalie's hat. Agile and clever at ground level. Loves a snap.

Treacy is a good foil; strong, bollocking, aggressive and athletic. Jackson a dangerous wildcard and increasingly looking like half of the best ruck duo in the comp, especially projecting forward (until Samson and Noah seize the title).

Talented, young midfield. Solid defence.
Freo have a promising future.

WA Commission owns both WA clubs.

9 Footy Show , the vision showed by efforts of some players and some WCE players looking back at their team mates who put in poor combined chases.

Damming .

Will the AFL put the pressure on the WA Commission?

There are executives that have been there a long time.

Obviously the coach is the scapegoat but a clean sweep of the whole organisation needs to be done.

Not hard to give effort. 18 goals in a row. 4 th 100 pt loss .

And my last point which just proves so much is they have SEVEN , yes 7 players in the top 100 paid players.

*smile* hit the fan for Wet Coke about the same time as all the covid restrictions hit, they had a totally negative attitude to everything to do with the restrictions and hub season. Seems to me like all of Wet Coke have somehow caught the long covid variety and while everyone else has recovered nicely the poor petals at Wet Coke have deteriorated badly. Might need to give the whole place a little tap in the ear hole n put them out of their misery.

Freo have built a nice list, very well balanced and age profile is perfect.

Despite all the talk about the "young Bombers", their average age was almost a full year older than Freos. Their age profile of the list is completely out of whack IMO, some young and upcomers, some old blokes doing ok, but the list is not a premiership list right now, and until they address the age imbalance won't be for a long time. Even Merrett is nearly 28. Personally I'd be letting Parish and Redman leave under FA and take the picks.

There were posters on here way back in 2020 that were saying Simpson was a spud.
Based on that Amazon prime 'raise the fight ' doco from the hub.
Claims he was an incredibly uninspiring coach
