Round 13: the Crystal Pepsi games.

Can’t see them making the 8 anymore. Especially now Petracca is done for a while. Similar injury ruined Dusty’s career…
I don't think it's the same injury at all. Trac has rib damage, got to get scanned so may be cracked, or not if lucky. Will be sore either way but guys can get back within about a month or so of cracked, from memory (I'm no medic). Dusty copped a more deep-seated thumping and lower from that Carlscum/Lions dog, Robinson.
Damaged liver - a far more serious injury and much longer recovery - with potential for sustained effects. A nursing friend told me it was a nasty injury; she thought he would never be the same again. :(

Is he still dreaming?

McCrae has them like Dimma had us on 2019,
Timing, and Get to your best at round 22.
Last 7 games at the G.
So has anyone pointed this out to Cornknob? He should be going nuts over it ... like he did over us getting some fixturing like this in a bygone glory year (but justified by a much tougher first half draw than the Skunks have had in '24 I reckon, with several interstate and Marvel H games). :(

It was quite pertinent 2023 but not in '24, after last week's and this game. Godeez is a jalopy barely running on 3 wheels now. They coulda/shoulda won the flag last year. They blew it with awful errors and some helpful umpiring for the AFL and media tarts, Colonwood.

I think their great era is over and done with mostly themselves to blame.

Is it time for Maysy, Melcho, Olly, Trac with Goody and all the boys to head back to that restaurant to do a post-mortem!?:ROFLMAO:

Pies are no Tigers of 2019. Winning 3 finals in 2023 by a total of 12 points is proof of that. Tigers by 156 points.

Swans would smack Pies just like Rd 2 at MCG when Pies had their full side. And been far more impressive since, smashing everyone except Tigers. They play them again Rd 22 (at SCG not MCG). Would love that to be the game that finishes Pies final 8 chances. One can only hope.

Ended in 1964.

DS
50th anniversary of their last dynasty era ending, their new dynasty officially ends. Seems appropriate.

*smile* they make them dynasty era's awful cheap n skinny these days, one use n chuck them in the bin while ya shuffle around with the chest puffed out remembering when you were unstoppable for all of one season.

Melbourne's recent performances show how even the competition is.

The reality is that they have lost Brayshaw (very good player), Oliver is a shadow of himself, Viney was injured, Petracca off and Lever out. Suddenly they are ordinary.

Their team was built around a champion ruck, a killer midfield (Petracca, Oliver, Viney and Brayshaw) and the two pillars at the back. Without them they struggle.

Petracca has been diagnosed with broken ribs (4), lacerated spleen, punctured lung.

Imagine sending a player back out on the field with all those injuries…..

They boo Maiden Braynard for what he did to Brayshaw, and now it will also be Marcy Door.

Tough bugger even trying to get out there. Would have been so hard to gut run at all with those sort of injuries, would have been struggling to breathe and likely in a lot of pain (but probably had an injection to cover it).

Has Marcy shown up to his house with flowers and a bottle of red yet?

"Obviously, Christian’s health is the number one priority for us at the moment" said Alan Richardson.

Might be now but it wasn't really the case yesterday when they sent him back on.

Even I could see he could hardly breathe coming off, crazy decision to put him back on.
