Round 13: the Crystal Pepsi games.

all over. Melbourne too scrappy, cough it up under pressure. Melbourne 3 or 4 posters and a fingernail goal review, could be a lot closer, but whatever.

Demons have had more inside 50s but have just been super incompetent inside 50. But they needed Pettracca, he's been on fire for them.

Oh yes Demons were 6-1 for frees, now 9-12.

Footy journos like to bang on about Mays passion and how he carrys on out on the ground, but it wouldn't be great for team morale. There'd be a lot of under the breath F offs I'd imagine.

The scoreboard gap reflects the skills gap: the Skunks disposal efficiency and much more dynamic ball movement is far superior, and the reason they are the '23 premiers. Their FL remains open while the Dees is always congested. Far deadlier shooting at goals.

MCrae's system, inherited/developed by the Tigers but with much more skillful disposal, stands up despite significant injuries; new players like Harrison and Dean fit in seamlessly.

They are not the best team in total but are the most efficient with their intense tackling and constant numbers around the ball, and excellent kicking.

Does Gawn just bend us over??
That's the weakest Collingwood in the last 3yrs and they are still bending them over.
Melbourne are shiiit

I’ve seen a a few occasions where a smaller teammate has tried to replace May as the man on the mark and tell May to get down the ground to defend (which I assume is a team rule, makes sense to have your no.1 defender down where the ball is about to go so he can defend it) but May has just ignored them and stayed on the mark. I thought he looked selfish.

Don't blame Samson.
Samson isn't in the Vikings class.
Blame Clarke that used our 1st pick on a small foward when we had Rioli Bulter Castagna Edwards and throw in Stengle that we picked up for free.
Don't worry, Zips, I said that at the time. I was one of Clarke's biggest critics for the excess of flankers and 'midgets'.
BTW, for his critics, not a bad game by JVR today; he's progressing.
