Morris stated he IS proud of himself...hmm. Not looking good for the Dogs but Bevo had same attitude everytime (I think it was) Tom Browne asked him about Ugle-Hagan's debut last season. He needs to tone down and realise this is what journos do. Develop that fake love that Dimma's invented.
Clearly that journo has done something to upset Bevo, and to be frank, I didn't think it was that bad a serve and I'm not sure it will affect Footscray, he's backing his team and will likely sell it to the players as us against the world.

I for one hate the fact they were spoonfed by the AFL, and it was a very protracted spoonfeeding, in contrast, we were given SFA. I also hate that they tanked. We didn't. The actions of the AFL toward cellar dweller Dees v cellar dweller Tiges was very different. At the club level, the Melb bottom side tanked, the Richmond Bottom side didn't. Culture, at both AFL and club levels, is a thing.
Having said that, I agree they are a very good side. The best side last year easy.
Where is that line between good and gutter journalism? It’s a fine one that’s for sure.
Beveridge point here was the lack of ethics from Morris. In that he has not bothered to contact the club and give them the heads up about a potential story like other journalists do.
But your right, the sanctions could be extreme. AFL headquarters would hate this.
I reckon Bevo was talking out of his arse when he implied all other journos are ethical. Pull the other one. He's got the *smile* because he has a leak, and he appears to be shooting the messenger. Very un-pro.
I think the discussion has been more around the contrast between how much some of the commentators have already been gushing over Melbourne after 1 season of success, a lot more so than they were about the Tiges at the same point.
You have chosen to apply the inference that such discussion is due to posters being unable to digest others talking positively about other teams without feeling like it diminishes their team.
Calling out such a discussion on a richmond fan forum filled with passionate supporters as ‘extraordinary’ is a bit of a stretch.
Did you miss all of the banter about how good the dees are, how well they drafted, their on field positioning etc that was intertwined within the same discussions?
I love you posting but sometimes some of it comes across a little condescending.
