2013 Rookies

Verrier - Certainty
Darrou - Certainty
Garlett - Unlikely but worth the risk IMO as a rookie
Stephenson - Likely
Petterd - Likely
Nelson/Boston - Unlikely but would love one or both of these as a rookie
Toy - not sure....

Stephenson looks a definite, can leave him til 3rd round

I'd prefer risking Petterd to Maric or Toy, can leave until last round

Would rather Pongracic to either Nelson or Boston, but Nelson seems an ok risk

Boyd or Schneider if we go "small" for the other pick, Rodda or Middleton if we go tall

p.s what's a David Fahey

Appears that Pongracic is a 182cm forward.

Doesn't make that much sense to pick another 5'11" forward, especially after previously drafting McDonough.
Would have thought another junior midfielder, like Schneider or Toy, would have been appropriate.

Maybe Pongracic has the possibility of developing into a midfielder in the future, and has an unbending desire to play AFL.
Who knows nowadays?

I remember Adelaide's Callinan training with us, prior to, and being rejected as not good enough.
And, RFC Director Rob Dalton's son was very stiff, so I thought.
Anyway!

No mention of David Fahey?

Anyone know what he is up to?

Would love him at Richmond. I think he would really thrive in a full time environment, and would play senior games next year if given the opp.

Think the bombers are keen on him.

Hope we pick nelson AND boston too

Rd 1: Nelson
Rd2: Toy
Rd3: Fahey
Rd4: Stephenson

my hope/prediction based on nothing really.

I think you are correct re Essendon interest in Fahey - saw 3 of their recruiters at a Coburg game late in the season. It seemed they were interested in him or Contin.

maybe we can re-rookie miller. insurance if a.edwards goes down.

we are using the rookie list incorrectly and we will regret it.

He retired. No need anyway with Knights there also... Newy an option on the forward flank this year also...

Pongracic only really played forward this year due to hip injuries. He's a genuine midfielder when injury free. If we pick him up I think he's a type that will make it. Bit of Tuck about him. Pongracic, Vlastuin, Martin, Arnot in our future midfield is a scary thought for opposition teams. Just run through them.
