Just wondering does anyone know if Darrou and Verrier are certainties to be on the rookie list season?

As the number of rookies has been reduced to 4 it doesn't give us much room to move if we take a recycled ruck & or eg Toy.

If there are some options that are considered better than the above 2 players available is it possible that they will be dropped off in the next list lodgement?

It's a good question, I assumed that they were certainties for 2013.

I doubt we would delist any players now unless something exceptional happens. It would be pretty unfair to them- limiting their chances to be picked up by another team. It very rarely happens across the league.

Good point. Especially as some rookies have already been delisted it's fair to assume that they will keep their spots.
However you never know, they may not have made them any promises.
I certainly can't recall seeing any official announcement that they'll be there next season. Hoping someone can confirm either way.

If we've only got two spots available, it does limit our options.

Spencer White if noone rolls the dice in the big draft
Would love us to roll the dice at 43 for him; I doubt he would make it to our pick in the rookie draft

its in the fighting tiger that they will be on rookie list in 2013 is that official enough

Sounds right my Dear Toots, FJ said as much this am.

Wonder if they will take 2 kids or just 1, seems like they have 12 possibly 3 spots earmarked for maturer types.

Really hope Tipungwuti is one of the picks. Quick, skilled and a bull of a small forward. Imagine having a small forward who instead of getting blown over in a light breeze can run over the top of blokes getting in his way. ;)

Sounds like McDonough, cept maybe the quick part

Surely we will be taking a couple of inside mids as rookies? Wasn't we ment to be targeting a couple in the draft?

Sam Colquhuon and Shane Nelson are both very likley types. It would be nice to take at least one of these two boys.

I would take both. Andrew Boston is another. Lots of good types still on the loose.

Wonder if Tim Clarke will have any say on whether we offer Tom Schneider a rookie spot? Won Box Hill's B&F, but due to rookie lists getting cut back has been delisted by the Hawks.

In my opinion this is exactly who we should be targeting.

Tom Sherridan seems to have struggled with the step up. His performances in the U18 championships was a little under welming as a junior too, but Tommy Schneider has done very well at VFL level, and very well in NAB cup. I'd love to see how he'd go given an opportunity. His attitude towards the ball would certainly not leave you wondering.
