Robin Nahas

I have a theory the reason he panics with the ball is that he knows he's not strong enough to un load the ball when tackled.

So he's too small for the midfield and not lethal enough to play small forward. The only thing potentially saving him is he is an active tackler

In another example of how meaningless stats are (and I've used these in the past). Nahas has been credited with 1 clanger for yesterdays game.

I counted about 3 errors alone in the 2nd quarter.

Your using the wrong stats. Prostats has him down as 5 turnovers, 2 critical errors and 3 skill errors. This is probably close to the truth. However you are right you cant measure errors in context of play. For example, Cotchin had 10 turnovers but also had 16 contested possessions.

Also there were a couple of occassions where Nahas could have held onto the ball a little longer and then handballed to another teamamte and the player would have been away. Instead he handballed to the teammate before they were clear of the opposition player coming at himself and the opposition would simply divert attention and tackle the teammate. It is difficult to measure in stats correct decision-making.

Here is one player that should be shopped around.
He cost us next to nothing and just maybe we could get a 4th round pick for him.

Another terrible player was Tuck (again), why the hell did they sign him up so early ?

a mistake. Tuck is like a fish out of water. the players are running one way Tuck is running the other. his head first dives into packs and other players have to be admired and laughed at but he really has no idea when he has the ball. there was a reason why hardwick didn't want him in the team early on - he needs to trust in his instincts.

believe Nahas has one more year but he should be gone also. 12 year old playing a mans game.

Agreed, not sure why Tuck was resigned, had a few patches of good football this season and probably earnt a new contract in terms of performance, but looking at the list, he should only be a depth player next year, Foley should be back, can't see much use for Tuck, would rather draft another 21-22 year old from a secondary league.

Foley may not be back at all and if he is it may not be the same player as he has been out of the game for a long time.

Heard Foley on the radio before yesterday's game.

He'll be back, and better than ever.

gee ive heard that before, Coughlan, Brown and now Foley. people forget he hasn't put 2-3 games together since last June, by the time march comes around he wouldve missed nearly a year and half.. I'm not holding my breathe, if he can be traded for Clarke or knights, i would take it.
ive heard alot of people say that he is vice captain and there's no way they would trade him, but one of the best trades in our history was the Jeff Hogg (captain) for broddies, gale and dundas.
never say never

That's great to hear. They have managed Cotch well this year, I guess they will take no chances with Foley and use a rehab method to ease him back into the swing.
