I am surprised by his selection.

He is replacing a small forward, but has been playing half back for Coburg for a number of weeks now.

The more obvious replacement is McDono who has been playing mid/forward and his form has been as good, if not better than Nakas.

Nakas is playing for his career, at Richmond, or most likely elsewhere, and this often leads to selfish, non team orientated play. This has been my major criticism of his game at Coburg. Gets a lot of cheap disposals running around the back but then simply turns it over or goes backwards way too often for an AFL player. Looks good on the disposal count, but does not help the team.

Will be interested to see his level of team orientated play today.

Thought he tried hard and did try to do team things, however his disposal let him down.

Nacho had a little kick to kick with Wiener Campbell just off the huddle at the end of the half time break. Fifteen metres apart, four kicks, first two dropped short n the last sailed over Wieners head. Said all that needed to be said.

It'll be a far old fall from grace if Robbie is delisted and no one picks him up. 34 goals in '12 and talk of GWS throwing a big offer his way (don't know if that was true or not though)

I am surprised about these booing comments. Didn't hear anything of the sort but I wasn't anywhere near zips yesterday.

I gave tuck a standing ovation when he come on and I want the only one
The entire Olympic stand was on its feet!
Go tucky you super star

Dimma said in his presser yesterday that he thinks Nahas will be a good player for us next year, after spending so much time working on his game at Coburg.

What is he going to say?
Yep was *smile* today made a mistake at selection will never play for us again.

Come on people he would know he is gone.

He wasn't even asked the question about Nahas. He just offered the comment when talking about White. I just thought it was an odd thing to say.

so did I

To be honest, I would have no problem with Nahas playing for Richmond next year. I just hope it is off the AFL list as part of our VFL list ;)

dud, who should be delisted, just like White and Jackson should have been last year.

in seriousness tho i struggle to see him on the list next year. i can see why he was played yesterday but he was poor, and has been poor mostly this year. as tigerman said we have to delist at least 3 (plus more if pick up any free agents or trades), he would be near the top of that list i would think.

Disgrace he was booed.

Poor form.

So he's the new punching bag now Jackson is playing well?

Obviously Hardwick played him to get some match fitness and after he has been killing it in Coburg and warranted selection.
Hasn't played AFL football for a long time so it's obvious again that he wasn't gonna play like Gary Ablett off the bat.

We are very quick to jump off players.

King,Jackson.

I was a bit harsh on Newy early in his career myself but have proved what a *smile* I was.

They have both left a few with egg on the face.

Give the bloke some time.

I thought some of Nahas 2012 form was so good and the impact he had so unexpected really that I'm quite sorry that he hasn't been able to recapture it this year. Particularly in an environment where a lot of the other senior players like King, White, Jackson and to a lesser extent McGuane have improved or re-invented themselves.

I was at the game. Heard no boos whatsoever. They must have been isolated incidents & not loud enough to be heard overall.

Agree though. Should never boo our own players EVER.

What a lot of crap, if people want to boo so be it.
I for one was happy he was taken out of the game, but if he gets another chance and plays well I will be just as happy.
