Robin Nahas

Probably did at the end of last season. Plenty here rated him, perhaps not the pro recruiters.
Some even talked of a trade for Tyson but personally though he got a lot of cheap goals last season and he is a very limited player.
The extra weight this year seems to have had a real impact on his pace. Personally I've always questioned his attitude a bit too.

Nothing the gws do says they are stupid enough to consider for a moment Nahas in the same sentence as Tyson. They are in different area codes as players with value

Robin is where he should be on a good list. About player 24 to 28 on the list.

Runs hard, has an eye for goal but has numerous weaknesses - not quick enough for a small, not overly good overhead, not strong enough, cant keep his feet, no left side, no penetration in kicking.

But if we have a run of injuries a very handy player to have available

Lambsy you are the voice of reason. Are you part of the Tiger Den group this Saturday?

King has left him for dead this year.

That's because King isn't carrying 8 separate injuries this year.

Why did we draft Vlaustuin (even if we had the first pick)? Because he's got a heart and mindset like King. All future players have a lot to learn from our barometer Jake King and should mould their mindset on his.

Actually King had loads of surgeries in the off-season. Injury isn't why Nahas is struggling, Lamby has nailed it. This is his level.

I'm a Nahas critic but I thought he was ok. Didn't get a lot of it but after a few weeks at VFL level it's no surprise he was off the pace. He tried hard though and applied pressure. The week before he was very good in the VFL.

Look Robin is a great character and has done very well to have an AFL career at all considering his physical limitations. He has played plenty of good games for us and can hang his hat on that, more than i have played. He is essentially too small, not overly quick and is physically weak which is displayed in his inability to consistently kick further than 35-40m to command auto selection.

If he is to remain on our list I expect him to see less seniors than more and he just has to accept his level.

Nahas is better than White. Always has been always will be.

Yep as a goal kicker can't deny, although more so as an opportunist. At the very least White can kick 50mts on set shots no problem. ;)

In other areas White is better IMO. Just depends on the roles they play. Nachos comes in as a specialist small forward whereas White's likely to be played defensive high forward, or winger. Different roles.

don't agree with this physically weak stuff, some very strong efforts at the ball last week, there is nothing weak about him, poor kick sure, but 'weak' doesn't follow. David Cloke wasn't a very long kick, you reckon he was physically weak? Robert Harvey? Stewie Lowe?

I don't get all the Robin Nahas haters. My mates who follow other teams say they would love him at there club and he is hard done by at Richmond. See Shane Tuck.

He's not so limited in some places. :pinnochio

I don't think it is so much that people hate him as recognising that the team is improving and Robin isn't. He was a good player a couple of years ago, descent last year and average so far this year. Also his attitude has been below standard. I doubt he would get a game in a top 8 side.

I'd love to see him at their club too.

I don't mean to sink the boots in. He's tried his hardest, done really well for how limited he is, and does his best in every game. He's just one of the most limited footballers that I've ever seen. Not good enough now to be anything more than depth. I'd have preferred white or edwards ahead of him on the weekend.

I've said it a thousand times, u can not have king, edwards and nahas in the same side. King is rating 1 out of thus trio and Edwards 2. So imo there id currently no room in the inn for Nahas. His spatial awareness, vision and disposal was poor against port and we would have been better served by the other Edwards playing in that game.

Ps flying over with my kids for the dreamtime game - when/where does the festivities start?

If Hardwick does decide to leave Nahas in the team against Melbourne, Nahas could benefit from it. Nahas has gone from being selected in the best 22 every week, to being named sub a couple of times, being dropped back into the VFL and then playing his first full game against Port Adelaide. I would say this has affected Nahas's confidence as it would any player's. A couple of games of AFL in a row might help his performance.

My thoughts about team structure
I think we have 9 mids, 5 forwards of which 3 are talls, two medium/small
If SEdwards is now a mid then PU King and Nahas can be the smalls, Nahas replacing Knights
Maybe there is a better combination?
