Robin Nahas

That's what you get from beating grand theft auto on PlayStation.

Apparently his mate had to stop him from using a baseball bat.

I'm his Prez, the missus loves him, so well done "rockin robin" :clap

I second these comments as his vp.

Nahas could see some serious Coburg time this year. Titch Edwards has gone past him as our number 1 small forward. And with the likes of King to come back I can't see Nahas in our best 22.

What gives you that idea? Nahas played every game last season with an improved Edwards and King.

Certainly under some pressure at least. That's a good thing but a bit early to write him off yet. Don't forget he was our 2nd highest goal kicker last season.

He's the only physically weak player we have left in the team and it showed again last night. Time for an upgrade.

With our added depth and our mids resting forward I can see him being edged out. With the addition of Knights, Vlastuin etc someone is going to miss out.

If A. Edwards is a front runner then I can't see why Nahas escapes the same criticism? When was the last time he kicked multiple goals against the very good teams?

That stats don't lie where that's concerned, that's why I've always preferred King who is super competitive rain, hail or shine.

I can't see that. Someone like McDonough who might have an improved skillset has to push him out (unlikely to happen soon) not big bodied 6'2 players who play totally different roles to that of a forward crumber.

This myth that King always performs and Nahas doesn't has to stop too. Nahas has always been consistently superior. Just like the myth King adds great defensive pressure to our forward line despite averaging 2 tackles last season. The Push ups legend is better than the reality.

When King plays we usually win, I don't see any other statistic being more important, do you?

As for myths and legends, are you disputing the fact that Nahas has been ordinary against top teams?

Nahas is in trouble.

dimma likes defensive pricks. nahas might be quick and busy when the going's good, but he will select kingy over nahas any day of the week.

all three of edwards, kingy and nahas may have taken the field in 2012, but we can't fit them all this season - we simply bat too deep in the small backs and mids.

personally i think newmo might fill nahas' breach. far less pace, sure. but 1000% greater creativity and penetration.

Rockin looked out of touch on Friday. And just out for the run.

Looking for a replacement small forward for the future McDonough was obviously recruited as a prospect. But Arnot might be good as a small forward. Can he kick?

Free agency might be the answer Jack, both LeCras and Betts would be two likely candidates who could fill the void.

If we had a fit LeCras at Tigerland, Bully, it would be punting time. Might be anyway. We should be able to develop a fresh Eddie, much as I love the bloke.

If the rest of the forward line are functioning we can afford a little nippy opportunist like Nahas down there. They are handy to have around.

I am not convinced that Nahas plays the 'small forward' or 'opportunist' role very well.

To me, he looks his most dangerous playing the HFF role running into the 50 with the ball and shooting on the run. I personally think he is too one sided to be a true small forward.

Regardless, I can't see him out of the side until an obvious small forward comes along, and even then the decision will be between him and King. Nahas kicks enough goals to warrant his selection, and lord knows we don't have enough blokes doing that.

FWIW, I think Kingy is showing small signs of being in decline. I know he has been injured a lot lately, but that in itself possibly tells a story. His game relies on those tough pressure acts and 1%ers, and any drop off in his physical ability will severly impact his performance. I hope I am wrong on this, because you can't really argue that stats that when he plays, we are a much greater chance of winning. And I firmly believe that his presence greatly assists Nahas in his role.

You must not have seen Newman's kicking last season.
