Nahas won't be in our best 22 unless he can at least wobble a left foot kick. He runs around like he does because he has to get onto to his only foot (not preferred) and until he can get a left foot even an ordinary one then he will become a decent player. Tries his guts though and i'll never question his endeavour.

Sadly he is not alone. Most of our players seem to have only 1 foot. Although he and Kingy are probably the worst at this.

nahas has tambling disease , when hes got the ball he tries to do far to much.
zigging zagging , running backwards.
here is a thought just move the ball on with a kick or handball nothing fancy.
then link up again
also hes to small cant stick a tackle and if hes caught they ragdoll him.
Assuming he has "Tambling Disease", at least he only cost us a rookie pick

Can't remember if Dickie had a left foot, it was weird praising stuff Robbie was doing up the ground, stranger still not to be bagging Tambling

Looking forward to Robbie stringing together 2 acceptable games on the trot

These days it's alot harder to give off a handball and do the "one, two" and get it back. Players are instructed that unless they've got a genuine chance of smothering or getting to the ball they should bump the player out of the next contest.

So logic tells you that if you can take two players on and get past them, not only have you beaten one player but if we're playing well and running in numbers there should be another free somewhere.

I think Nahas actually did it well on a couple of occasions last night.

i think nahas should try beating one opponent before he tries to beat two !
basics first in my book.

I don't know where you were sitting last night scanners but I was on the wing in the Southern stand and he did exactly that right infront of me. Took on two players and ran straight through the middle of them breaking the line.

I don't think he's our long term answer either but give credit where it's due.

I'll give nahas credit because he had a crack, he went in low and looked hungry.

There where times where he tried to do too much and his disposal let us down, but has had a solid pre season and he stepped it up in the third quarter. Never going to be a superstar but he is good player and worth having if he puts in.

Sets the example for Lids.

FFS why won't they put Brett on the ball with clear instructions to run and break lines like Nahas did last night?

He is more value to us creating options in the midfield and up forward.

his best game imo. constantly ran the lines and ran hard to link up - unlike alot of his statue teamates.

Nahas now knows that this year his career is on the line. Last year he cruised and got lucky.

This year he's playing scared as he tries to save his career. You can see that in his desire for the pill.

But while he gives his all, he has to realise he tries to do 'too much' with the ball, tries to take on two many players in one hit and ignores the 1st, 2nd and 3rd better options forward of him.

Oh, and Kingy is breathing down his neck.

Should be an interesting year for Nahas, and Kingy.

I've got no problems with a guy getting caught having a go, just as long as it works more often than it doesn't. That was the case for Nahas last night, I reckon.

Problem is when he tries to lay a tackle etc and they just brush him off. Happened through the guts/HB at least three times. It hurts us.

That said he looked decent with ball and worked hard to break the lines. I like that.

Rewolt, Nahas and cotchin were our best 3 players on thursday nite, You couldnt ask for any more then he did.

Yep. If he had a bit of running support or options he wouldn't have to try playing dodgem cars through traffic.
One or two blokes trying to run and create will always look ordinary without support. Ten or twelve running in swarms like Scumwood, Cats or Brisvegas in recent years wins premierships.

He certainly provided a spark that was desperately needed ( I thought he would have been the sub and considering how poorly we brought the ball out the backline in the 1st half I wish it hadn't been Connors). I just wish he would work on being able to kick on the left - there were a couple of times where he turned back into traffic just because he couldn't get a kick away on his left.
