Robin Nahas

What does Nahas have to do to get a holding-the-man decision?

It seems like at least once per game he gets rid of the ball before he gets tackled but misses out on a blantant decision. Often it costs us a shot on goal. Is anyone else seeing this?

I can remember one such moment when Nahas was outnumbered 2 to 1 running towards our forward 50 line.

Blatant hold or professional foul in soccer terms by one of the Carlton players - sure enough no whistle.

If it was Judd on the other hand....

had his best game for the tigers. his dash and desire to take the game on was great. yeah sure sometimes he tries too much, but better to try too much than try too little, like some players.
credit to him. he did give us a spark!

And a spark is what we needed in that game.

His run was nice in the midfield but a lot of times during the game I noticed we had players like Edwards and Nahas in together for ball ups and I just cringed. Little wonder why we couldn't win a clearance.

I don't mind Edwards in the clearences. I reckon his hands in close are some of the best at the club.

Not a role for Nahas though.

Edwards had zero clearances. No point having great hands if you can't get the ball.

Saying that he was 6th in average clearances for the Tigers last year up from 15th the year before..

was great to see Nahas add another string to his bow on friday night. Even though it was a dinky little effort but i nearly fell over when Robbie used his left foot.

He was pretty average to say the least on Friday night,
But he was one of your better players in round 1 so it would be a bit unfair to drop him....
That said Nason & Webberly should be playing before him regardless.

Personally I don't get the flack Nahas is copping one iota.
One of our few players who looks to take the opposition on. That will lead to mistakes but don't see him being dropped anytime soon.
In fact right now I see him as one of our improvers. His attack on the footy is first rate.

agree. always looking to make things happen and take them on. is always running hard to support and provide options. is never stationary. also for a little guys really goes in hard and puts his body on the line. got a massive shirtfront from dawson and didn't think he'd get up, but he recovered quickly and went on.

I'll third that, gentlemen. Rockin has been good IMO.

I personally like the way Nahas has come on this year. He needs to continue his improvement and he will be another valuable player through the rotations.

One thing I've really noticed is the ferocity of his tackling this year - especially at stoppages.

The result of that bump caused bursted blood vessels in his lungs , where he was coughing up blood and he couldn't breathe for that last 8 minutes of the last quarter. I thought that showed alot of G & D.

Well Robbie certainly had to start showing something, and it looks like he has.

Not sure if it will be enough to keep him on our list, but good on him for having a real crack.

The Dimma influence.

I really liked that play because Nahas made the kind of uncompromised attack on the ball that is standard in good teams

A great improver from last year and I look forward to the continued upward trend from Robin!
