Richmond Vs GWS - Game Day Thread

It was a good win but as tigerlove said GWS really are a bit soft. It was a win of pressure and desire more than anything else.

My husband and I were just saying this. For a team with so many high draft picks and decent players, they have never gone anywhere because they are soft and don’t seem to have much desire.

Looking forward post jack,

I thought balta and lynch looked good together , throw Dustin down there as the other marking option I think we are ok down forward

Went in with low expectations. Fourth quarter of previous week stuck in head. Good win.

that's a solid win in a weird game with a lot of our older crew out

thought Hugo and Dow did well. Miller fine. Parker was good.

Balance without Jack R was, dare i say it ? Better ...

I criticised Tarrant last week but what a turnround as he is holding our inexperienced defence together ably assisted by Broad
2 players in their 2nd games and Rioli limited experience down back. Tarrant, Broad and Short were all very good today

Castagna just does my head in. Such a poor decision-maker. I'd be happy to try someone untried like Cumberland in his place.

Good win, plenty to like with the personnel out.

Thought Rioli was superb, Short and Tarrant excellent as was the whole defence, Dow showed plenty (hope he's ok), Balta could be anything and the two rucks worked ok today, albeit with a soft kill and Riewoldt out.

Thought the middle tier guys really found something, Graham, Broad, Pickett and even Parker early.

Umpiring was excellent, the Pickett spoil moves straight to exhibit A in the see what you want to see file, but our discipline was much better today apart from Cotchin who I'm still pissed off about.

As much as I'm pleased with the performance though, I'm conscious we played a team who were a bit undermanned and moved the ball really slowly today. That suits us beautifully, but the question remains can we go with the speed.
Time to give Cotchin a break , yes he made an error but did you actually see his game today? He was brilliant and set the bar high!! He still out spiritual leader and a Tiger legend!! Your previous comments were laughable !

Gee Wizz have no supporters and anonimity in Sydneyc so there is no one for them to be pillioried by if they cant be arsed Its much easier for them to snatch it than other clubs.

Well I didn’t see that coming - we have jumped to 9th at the moment.

Really good response from the tigers from that last qtr drumming from the bloos. Great to see our younger players step up at times and influence the game.

Balta magnificent up forward and both he and Lynch liked the space - even Lynch looked sharp and tackled well.

I now think our defence is Ok, they kept the bloos big men to 1 goal last week, the step up this week was from our midfielders who ended up giving the Geewiz a spanking in that area.

I assume Vlas comes in for Millar or do we need him for King?

I am a happy man now, there is no way GWS should have lost that game on paper.
