Richmond 2017 AFL Premiers

Just watched the GF again. I get a lump in my throat and a bit misty eyed every time I watch it.

If we bring our pressure again this year we're going to be right in it again.

Can't wait for the unfurling of the flag.

I reckon this has been the slowest 5 months since i was in primary school.
VERY slow Easy but at least we have replays of the finals to tide us over.

This is comedy gold! :rofl

I'm so thankful our players didn't listen to this or they would have thought it would be pointless turning up.

Yep; we had a dream run - our skills are poor, we've played no quality opponents, the umpires have helped us win!

Is it just me or is Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords the host of this program?

Yep, almost don't want to lose that premiership winning feeling by having to line up n try to do it all over again.

I'm starting to think there is an Adelaide accent.

there absolutely is. Adelaide was the only free-settled (not a jail) city. Its forebears were landed gentry rather than crims. Every part of Australia has their lilts and quirks, and Adelaide retains that

slight aristocratic tone, that can sound NZ/British, and could certainly evoke Jermain from FOC

Aristocratic bogans?

You learn something every day.

The result of one too few aristocratic out-breedings.

Christopher Pyne and Sauce Jacobs are others examples of the way these outpost genetic experiments can go

There's totally a SA accent:

baink/thaink = bank/thank
bottoo = bottle
Mowcom = Malcolm
ge-oo (kind of hard g 'gel' with the L rolled into a W) = girl
OS-tray-lee-uh (Lleyton sounds like the queen sounding out the word when he says it) = Ostraya

Some people are more subtly different to the rest of Aus, but plenty are easy to pick. Mark Ricciuto's very broad SA.

Forgot about foohbowl. It is pretty Cockney innit?

Re-listened to the 5AA call of the GF. It's my favourite. Oddly, it seems to be the most complimentary about how we played that day.
