Nothing will top it as a Tigers fan.

Mighty fine words, spook. Thanks for finding the writing wisdom. My sentiments also, yet I could not express myself in the manner in which you have excelled.

x3. Great stuff Spook, and likewise. If I've had a better time in my life, I can't quite remember it.

On Swan St, it was crazy, I've never seen anything like it, I've been to Carnivale in Colombia and Easy has been to the same in Brazil, they were like sunday picnics by comparison. The thing that sticks with me the most was the happiness, we stayed in Richmond, all week everyone was happy, then of course after the win everyone was crazy-happy. Then the few days after, happy, happy happy, a happy place full of happy people. Doesn't happen often in life.

Also on Swan St, while I loved it and was amazing to see, all the bars, restaurants and pubs were totally unprepared for the win. All the pubs had sold tickets to functions so you couldn't get in, and there were queues 50 metres long at everyone of them of people trying to. Any venues that didn't would have filled straight away, so I dunno, 50-60K spill out of the G and PRO, maybe more, and have nowhere to go but the street. If they had thought it through, they should have had a mini festival with outdoor bars etc, they would have made a stack more money.

Great posting Spook and Snakey.

I was at the ground and it was a great great day, i wont recount it as mine are same as everyones, hugging strangers, tears, euphoria etc etc..

I actually went into the City for a beer with a mate that was at PRO as he couldnt get a ticket, i knew Swan st would be a mess and we were keen to have a stiff drink after witnessing a truly majestic moment. I really wanted to head to Swan st but being a mid 40s guy i really just wanted to celebrate but not wait 3 hours for a drink.. No regrets though, was a great great day!!!

Yep. I went to Swan St after the game. It was great if you wanted atmosphere but *smile* if you wanted a celebratory drink. Which is why I didn't last long before I went back into the city

I have only just got back to Sydney, but those memories will live with me forever too. Starting at the last training session to the Grand Final parade, watching Francis Bourke stand under KB's statue and take endless photos with fans (surely there should be one for him?), thanking him for just being him. The excitement of what I think we all felt was coming, getting into the city early for brekky and at Fed square watching over-confident Crows fans boasting of having "Too much Class". Walking to the MCG with a bloke in a blonde wig dressed as Uma Thurman in Kill Bill - what a weekend!! The game has been spoken about a lot so all I will say is that when Richmond play like Richmond they will never be beaten and that was the MOST thrilling bit I will remember. Went and drank at the Bridge carpark hugged, talked and kissed people I didn't know and it didn't matter. The Richmond way has be re-discovered and re-born and I am excited to see how much that can now deliver.

Echo everyone's sentiments.

Also want to add one of my most memorable moments of the final series.

Was standing outside the MCG before the prelim at Gate 2 when group of about 200 - 300 GWS supporters decended from the direction of Jolimont Station. They were all decked out in awful orange, grey and white colours (colours of an errupting pustule). As they walked down the hill towards the ground they started to make some noise - singing, banging drums and chanting. Me and the other 5000+ Tiger supporters waiting to get in to the ground watched them bemused but fascinated. Then the guy next to me yells out 'that all you got?' Tiger supporters errupted and totally drowned out the GWS supporters with laughter and (polite) jeers. Take my hat off to those brave few GWS supporters - but were totally out of their league when it came to making a noise in support of their team. No one does it as well as the Tiger Army!

One of my very best favourite moments was when richo pumped out in a non richo voice at the end of our prelim, CAN YOU BELIEVE It, THE TIGERS ARE INTO A GRAND FINAL, they were immortal words.

Yeah, Richo choking back tears interviewing Jack after the prelim brought a lump to the throat. The chants of "Richo, Richo" on grand final day both before the game and as he walked up to present the cup were pretty special too.

. I was sort of hoping he’d do a Bob DVis and celebrate with the team, but he seemed very conscious of getting out of the way as quick as possible.

He’s as big a supporter of RFCas we are.

Just dropped in after many years away from PRE to say hi to the ol' PRenders and WHAT A BLUDDY BEAUTIFUL WEEK IT HAS BEEN IN FOOTBALL!!! PREMIERS! :rofl

Welcome back Deano. Some of us remember you. A bloody good reason to drop in too.

For me the best moment was when I realised that we would win it. I think that every Richmond supporter was scared that somehow it would be snatched from us. Even at 3 quarter time my head and my eyes said we would win but I was worried, this was still Richmond and we lose games we seemed destined to win.

The moment I knew it was when Townsend intercepted the kick in and goaled. I knew we would win and it was a glorious feeling of relief. I could enjoy the last 10 minutes.

Not all ex players have the fan passion do they? woops sounding like McAveny . RICHO is a genuine fan. Not knocking other ex players but I say they are tied to their team mates and coaches. Powerful but different type of connection to us fans,

Don't forget the merchandising. This win will have paid for Dusty's next 3 years

They showed on 7 news on the Monday after the Granny, just on 48hrs after the game that we had already sold just over $2 million in merchandise since the win at the Tigerland store, showing queues that went down Brunton Ave. Swan St was a sight & sound to behold on Saturday night. It was constant singing, chanting, hugging, kissing, and alot of other stuff all night long, sea of yellow and black completely filled Swan St & all it's bars, atmosphere was electric, something i will never forget. Ended up having to go to the Bridge Hotel to continue to drink, Tigers everywhere in there also.

GO YOU MIGHTY TIGERS!!! BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD!!!

Don't forget Richo was a Richmond fan before he was a Richmond player.

Not a team of champions, but a champion team!
Go Tigers.
As Dimma said "Premiership players". did you see the expression on their faces when he said that, Like it was finally recognising their mighty efforts and now being crowned.

Great stuff to watch.

Watched the replay again last night. Gee, everyone played so well.

First time in a long time I can say that we were too big and too strong (and too quick). Was nearly men against boys. Nank, Townsend even Edwards giving niggle, bumping, shoving, getting in the Crows faces.

it’s been amazing last 2 weeks on talkback radio, everones talking good about Tiges.
im so used to rubbish talk about our club.

Premiership brings respect!
