All signs point to yes that he will be upgraded and played which will be an absolute joke and as someone said previously it will put the first big red mark against Hardwick as a coach.
If Vickery needs someone like Miller out on the field in an AFL game telling him where to go and what to do then boy oh boy do we have issues. Spare yourself from the whining too, I'm simply making a blindingly obvious statement, did we not learn from the Kingsley balls up?
The rationale behind Miller is completely different to the rationale behind Kingsley. I'm not going to bother explaining it, it's been done to death already and if you can't see it by now, you never will.
Putting aside his age, his name and all the angst associated with him, answer me this. If he is the best performed of the rookie listed players (which, for the record, he is), does he deserve a promotion?
And the comment that his promotion and subsequent senior games would be the first black mark against Hardwick is quite simply rubbish. Hardwick won't promote him lightly, just to justify his selection. He will promote him because he believes Miller is the best option at that point in time. And, let's face it, there are not a lot of guys that could hold him out on demonstrated form. Post, Griffiths, Gourdis, Taylor have all been nominated, and all have shown little this year.
Don't you think having Miller running around in their position might inspire them to push him out, his coaching impact aside?
Tomorrow will be interesting because it will demonstrate if Miller can work in a forward line alongside our likely Round 1 FF/CHF combo in Riewoldt and Vickery. If it works, I suspect Miller will indeed play a few games. If he doesn't, he probably won't.
