Rich Vs Adel (March 11th, 2011)-Teams [Merged]

Tiv, Sanchez and Fiona would have been lucky to win their own ball 17 times a year and they all turned it over at a decent clip.

We'll see anyway. I'm interested to see how such a wimp can win his own ball that often.

Nice to see you warming up for the long year ahead D8. I reckon defending Houli will be just as taxing as defending Bling was.

Houli is soft imo runs wide one way and ive never rated him.

Gonna take big change in his game for me to change my mind on him.

Id take Nason over Houli, kids a workhorse and runs both ways, shows more ticker too ie the hits hes taken imo.

But thats me.

its no good if you run both way but get knocked out becase you are too small against the big boys and make our team vulnerable because we cant rotate as often. Houli is a seasoned player even though he hasnt played heaps of hames, he has the body.
I love nasons endeavour, however he is too small and gets knocked off the ball or knocked out completely. I really hope he makes it, no point being a whippet racing against horses in a staying race though cobber. Its fine if its a 100 metre race but its 4 30 min 1/4s. A battle of endurance. If you get knocked out, our out pal..

I've been pretty happy with Houli. Looks promising to me.

Seen him enough i dont need 50 games to form an opinion of a player. Its the way i see things maybe i am different.

I may be shown to be completely wrong, but i wouldnt have an opinion of the bloke if i hadnt seen him play.

IMO quality footballers can be sighted by the little things, composure suredness of hand and vision in traffic (the player that has time with the footy in hand), which aids execution, anyone with a decent hoof can kick goals on the run from 50 when spoon fed the aggot, thats not what quantifies a good player for mine its the little things mate, the shimmy the sidestep, execution, the finish, the ability to shrug pressure.

It aint just me theres a few others on here that dont get excited by him much either imo hes a bit soft and doesnt win his own footy enough for mine.

Maybe its just the fact im not much of a fan of blokes that run wide.

But once again its just my opinion
be interesting to see how he goes ..the upside is we didn't pay much for him ..

just on a side note. The young mckernan guy for adelaide. will he play this year? he played alright a few weeks ago with some toweriong mareks.. my dreamteam is counting on him being a rwgular

one thing with houli is when he has the ball fwd of center you can feel very confident that he's gonna hit the leading target on the chest and set up a goal scoring opportunity. dont have this level of confidence with many in our team....

He might be soft... but he was brought to the club for his link play and polish. One thing we actually do have in this team is guys who can win their own ball (finally) - Cotchin, martin, Jackson, Foley, Deledio, Grigg, Tuck, Connors - they all can do it. We now need guys who can get into space and use the ball going fwd - Houli has this ability. I wont shoot him down till i see him in the real stuff.

A good point however come finals time I can see him performing like a brett peake or a leon davis - some players are just not up for the physical nature of finals

The only change I'd make to the team by 8ball is bring in Tuck for Nahas. Tuck is a proven player for us and we'll need his inside work against the cheats.

I think it's time we drop the Brad Miller experiment, it's starting to become really embarrassing - even in these praccy games.

For those who cannot make it, do we know if this game is being web cast?

It is if the net feed from Cardboard Park is good. Stay tuned for RFCO's updates.

Would play Edwards 10 times over before I'd play Nahas.

Would like to see Dea get more exposure in the micky mouse stuff also.

Nason i agree on goes in hard with that slight frame, has a bit of chance bateman about him but i still think nason needs another preseason or 2 to whack more size on....I like the way he covers the ground works hard and his skills are damn impressive...
