Rich Vs Adel (March 11th, 2011)-Teams [Merged]

No ones expecting to win every game - just want to see improvement. This pre-season has been a complete disaster. Pathetic displays in all games bar one. Zero tolerance has to be shown to players that just can't make the AFL standard in terms of foot skills and decision making in particular.

Come on - it's got to better than this.

Will you be happy with another 0-9 start?? Will you be happy with more 100+ point smashings?? Will you be happy to see Mcguane time and time again give away stupid free kicks to cost the team momentum? Will you be happy to see Edwards hit a target 1 out of 10?? Will you be happy to see M.White grab the ball take players on and then have a brain freeze and couugh it up?? Will you be happy to see Jackson a so called leader continuously butcher the ball by hand and foot?? Will you be happy to see another Richo gameplan being built around Reiwoldt?? Will you be happy to see another year of zero influence from our ruck dept?? Will you be happy to trod along another couple of year until Deledio, Foley etc are too old to make a difference and the guys under them haven't developed so we start again??

At the moment that is exactly what i see happening. Hope im bloody wrong and everyone gets back on this forum and gives me heaps for it. We contiue along this current path i doubt it very much. Only chance is Malthouse leaving the Pies.

I like this poster. :clap

Grigg had 29 touches, 13 marks and a goal. Apparently Foley also had another 25 or so touches. Good to see him back playing well and fit.

20 of them were turnovers though

6 years ago we were 3 years ahead of Carlton, now we are 3 years behind

turnovers ,discipline is still our major flaws these are things we need to improve on and until it does we gonna get smashed plain and simple

Kids came in and asked me how did we go dad? What was the score?....as i said in post#246 in this thread, i told them"it's only a practice match", though tonight they will watch my wife's team Essendon play off in a GF and will probably ask me during it... when do you think we will play off in one of these?.

WTF do i tell them.

P.S. Member for 20 years and kids have been reserved seated members for 5years... just in case anyone wants to know!.

Just show something Richmond...anything! kids are losing interests, not just mine either.

felix felix felix - you are an embarrassment - bandwagon supporters .... gotta love them, they expect the world but wont to give up anything to achieve it

Well said. We'll save the club financially because we can remember the great times (at least I'm old enough to). But it's time for players and coaches to provide more. At least give some hope to our kids. The club has already lost a generation of supporters in my view. Not bloody good enough FFS.

Come on Hardwick - influence and create change.

You all crack me up. Hope you all get your blood pressure medication in check before round 1. If you get this stressed for a practice match, you're a McGuane dropped mark away from a hearter in the real games.

Were you there to see the game, or did you see it in some way?

It was a practice match. That is what these games are for, practice. Dimma is creating plenty of change IMO. He can't do it overnight, and he can't do it with the train wreck left by Wallace.

I am wondering if anyone really expected us to be world beaters this year? I for one didn't. I hope that we are more competitive for sure but I never thought we would improve out of site like some obviously did. Last year we beat the Cats in a practice game - it meant nothing. I hope that we improve during the season but I really don't expect a lot from the kids this year. Best we prepare ourselves for a long season - but hope the kids give us a glimpse of whats to come in the years ahead.
