That's Webberley next to Conca, and he does look in good shape.

I would have sworn that's Connors . Those guys could be twins .

If you look at Conca now there is no doubt that he is going to be a really big bodied mid before long .

I'm going with Webberly too....looks big across the shoulders.

Look at the lazy bloke in the background....too lazy. Dud. Delist.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Looks like Webberley was half way through a haircut and realised he was late for training

All the boys are looking really fit ATM, and also bigger and more toned, maybe it's the new training facilities

Reece is looking tip top and agree he looks like filling out nicely

Hope Heslin can play as good as he looks (did that come out right ??? )

Is that Connors or webberley next to him ? If its Connors he looks in great condition

I'd say fellow ranga Reece, looks more like Connors.
Can't see the Webberley comparison at all. He sure looks like a young Dimma though.

We need adjudication on this now . Where is RFCO when you need him ?

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Good to see Conca with some size in the upper body. Had a solid B-B+ first year & looks like being capable of being a 150+ game footballer who can be the perfect third or fourth mid in a very good midfield.

But to suggest right now, that he will be better then Heppell is just PRE hyperbole.

He will be a better midfielder.

Arguable. Heppell played quite a bit of midfield as a junior. As I understand spent alot of time in last year of TAC in the backline due to recovering from injury.

I like Heppell as a footballer but he has a long way to go in terms of becoming a dominant midfielder. From the games I witnessed last season, he appeared to lose composure in pack situations and as a result, rushed his kicks and often didn't pick the right options. If you have access to the first Rich v Ess game the difference between Conca and Heppell is stark when it comes to keeping a cool head in heavy traffic.

With all due respect, I call Poppycock of THE highest order.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Thats definitely webberly in the photo with reece, not connors.

And the boys have likely been in doing some weights before coming out on the ground, which is why they suddenly look bigger.

We shall see Scooper, you obviously have suffered from the 'Heppell can do no wrong' syndrome. Good footballer yes, definitely. Star midfielder, I have my doubts but time will be the judge of that one.

Not at all. But Hepp is a long way ahead of Conca at the moment. 21 touches a week in year one. That's a midfield type number. By deep in the year he was spending more time on the wing to try and free him up as teams were already planning for him in the back half. He'll get extended time in the mids in 2012.

But this is a slag at Conca, he has a lot of things to like. Below his knees he is one touch, he can find a way in traffic and his a good link man. I thought his kicking was a little bit patchy. At times very good but not elite.
