Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

We saw against geel and collingwood the likes of pendlebury sidebottom dangerfield selwood kelly ablett all got over 30 to 35 possies without graham and conca. These 2 also allow lambert coth prestia edwards martin to run forward and create havoc.

No argument from me. In particular Graham is very important for our side. He's an absolute beast defensively inside. But really the reason for our success is the even performance of all our players, not the requirement for key players to get massive amount of possessions. That match against Collingwood our highest possession winner had 22 disposals. Almost unheard of.

PS First time we played Collingwood both Conca and Graham were playing and Treloar had 42 disposals, Phillips 38 and Pendelbury 29 yet they were still smashed by 40+

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Reece has a decision to make.
Get two years of love from Dimma.
Or two years of grief from Ross Lyon.

Tough Call :rofl :rofl

The tough call relates to the longer term deal. He is injury prone and if he stays at Richmond and gets injured again his career could be over at 28. If he goes he is guaranteed whatever Fremantle are offering, maybe 4

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

don't know how anyone could play under Ross Lyon no matter what the deal

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Similar decision the club faced with Deledio. If another club wants Conca and offers a good deal to him we shouldn’t hesitate to let him go. Frees up our salary cap to get better value for our future list requirements.

We are light on for inside mids. Only really conca and graham. Hope he stays.

bloody oath. A lot of people grossly underestimate how good he is at what he does, and also how hard that role is to do well. Gun. I will spew if he leaves. I've been waiting to lose a player we want to keep, it may well be Reece, hope not. Just feels like something has to give.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Be good if the likes of Conca, Lloyd and Towner stayed.
Menadue, C. Ellis, Drummond, Lloyd, Griffiths and Hampson all leaving through one way or another is enough changes.

Lloyd staying and going then?

Yep. Reecey n Fridge do the dirty work n heavy lifting that allows our premium creators to cheat a bit n that's near enough priceless.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Didn’t see this one coming tbh , if the mooted departures come to fruition we will have a bit of a depth deficit , interesting who we pick up as replacements , won’t have much to spend

A *smile* load of kids to add to Balta, Carthwaite and baker.
We need to load up on midfielders

Happens all the time with good teams, you lose the depth players looking for more opportunities. Big Nanks was an example of one we picked up looking for more opportunities.

With Grigga and Houli both 31 next year i reckon we really need to keep Conca, Lloyd and Towner.
We've had a good run with injuries the last couple of years, but if that luck runs out our depth could be really tested.

That would be idea , they may be reluctant to re sign given the limited ops

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

So Scumantle are offering him a starting midfield role, wow that's a big improvement from his current role as a...STARTING MIDFIELDER.
