Just watched the full replay on fox and paid special attention to Reece Conca's game

He played a very good game and was integral in the win, Put himself in alot of dangerous positions and didnt wilt once and won more of the hard ball than he lost as well as his brain farts not being so bad.

Didnt turn it over and executed some really damaging passes when it counted

Very Good game and well deserved spot in his 100th game

Agree, Turk. What about the hospital ball mark and the audacious broken tackle when the umpire refused to a pay a mark to him when we are going forward both in Q3? In fact, Conca was just about the best player on the ground in the 3rd quarter. He was dominant. Obviously he’s a polarising player amongst the Richmond faithful, but for those who think Conca should be in the 2s, I would recommend rewatching the premiership quarter with an open minded Conca focus and I’m certain you’ll see a bloke the match committe will have a hard time dropping if we get a full compliment of players in the coming weeks. Now that I think about it, I’m not sure if our premiership football department has ever dropped Conca actually. That suggests he’s a good chance to hang on even with players returning.

Right now Reece is safe.

K Mac and Bobble are likely to be competing for a spot as the season progresses save for sh!t form, injuries or suspensions.

Reece and Jayden are now incumbants after 13 games, and they have effectively pushed at least 2 premiership players from the 22.

Conca was excellent. I watched the game live at the ground and thought he was good but after watching the replay it was better than good.

Conca was excellent. I watched the game live at the ground and thought he was good but after watching the replay it was better than good.

Conca is in the top 100 in the league for score involvements, intercepts, tackles, tackles I50, contested possessions and clearances.
i doubt anyone else in the league can claim that versatility.

The 4.1 intercepts per game is freakish for a midfielder, Brodders. Exactly equal with our captain who is probably the best midfield pickpocket in the league. So there ya go.

Take away Prestia, Martin, Grahame and add in Miles who seems like the speed of the game has passed him.... Conca is not am A grade mid. Add back Dusty, Grahame and with the prospect of Prestia back soon, Conca is a very good B- grade mid option.

Reminds me a little of Dan Jackson before he learnt to compose himself and take the best disposal option understanding his capability. Jackson took the best part of 8-9 years to get there,

Reece is a good tackler and is no 31 in league averages at around 5 and a half tackle a game.

He is not in the top 100 in averages in any of the other categories mentioned though.

As he has played every game his totals are OK. I'd suggest average per game is a better and more accurate guide.

4th in the aggregate stats list on our website, that's the website of the reigning Premiers and ladder leaders, the mighty Tigers, behind Dusty, Cotch and Lambo. I'm not sure how they work that out. Dusty is first and Garthy is last so I'm assuming it's an aggregate measure. ?

Either way, if you value hard tough team footy, he's been better than OK, he's been g g g g g g g g g good! If you don't value hard tough team footy, you can please yourself. 8-

Draft pick #6 since 1990 has generally been quite the failure.. Only 6 players have got to 100+ games over that 28 year period ! Conca will make that 7 when we plays 2 more games. Game 100 possibly v Crows, MCG 6th of July

Nor do they reflect Conca's durability.

Disregarding those points, the stats show Reece contributes in many areas which suggests those who suggest he has no virtues, besides courage, are wrong.
