they were interested but didn't want to pay what we would, and also wanted a trade end 16 but Balmey talked him into staying.

From memory I thought Balmey talked the club into keeping him at the end of 2016 because he felt the club shouldn't "throw away early draft pick investments" or something to that effect.

no, he talked Reece into staying. Maybe the club were more open to a trade before Balmey got here, I don't know.

We were definitely open to a trade at a minimum because I know I read an article in The Age or HS, which said we had mutually parted ways with Conca. Who made noise first, I'm not certain. You might be right.

Yer, but interesting that Cerra hasn't renewed for Freo yet, no doubt offered a strong deal. Apparently a life-long Tiges supporter too.

But, overall, I'm happy with Reece, at least he's willing. (unless Cerra wants to come over.)
