I love how when he gets smashed he just gets up as if nothing has happened. Love him.
Yep. Imagine the carry on if Selwood got crunched like that

The beauty of this is that when Reecey, Lamblett, Presty etc put in their two cents worth. Blokes like Cotch n Dusty don't have to smash every game they play. We have an amazing overall team contribution going on again this year without actually looking like we're in peak form.

Agree, the load is being spread. The class becomes the icing and stands up when the game is on the line!

Worked today, let us down last week Maybe the two quality in's and Jackering ram (three in's) is the tipping point! Away didn't help either though!

Re: Reece "2018 Whipping Boy" Conca

Just watched the replay. That free against Conca for throwing the ball in the 3rd quarter was, as usual, wrong.

Re: Reece "2018 Whipping Boy" Conca

You've got to have grunt. Reece gives us that; he's certainly not silk, but he throws his body in, chases, contests hard in and under, and tackles. If he could just tidy up his disposal, he'd get a lot more recognition. Strong effort again today.

Re: Reece "2018 Whipping Boy" Conca

Well that was Conca's 99th game for the RFC - 100 games for reece against the swannies

I think from memory from stats Ive posted here before pick 6 averages something like 60 games ( whereas the other top draft picks average over double that).

so he's performing above the average!

just out of interest, I wonder what the breakdown of crocks to duds is on that. Be mostly duds I'd say.

Re: Reece "2018 Whipping Boy" Conca

Played a strong game yesterday did Reece but needs to play within his limitations then people will notice the good things he does and he does plenty of them, unfortunately he often undoes his great work with poor disposal or by giving away a stupid untimely free kick,

"we're not perfect, we embrace that"

When you're a cannonball tackler you're gunna give away a few frees, disagree on the 'stupid ones often' call. He also gets a lot of frees from his tackling, up there with the most for the side I think.

So in recent history from 2007, games played wise, they've done better with only Aaron Francis appearing to be the bust ( so far)

Re: Reece "2018 Whipping Boy" Conca

Its about time some of the Anti Conca Fan Club give up on their crusade.

Instead of focusing on the odd mistake, just see what he contributes to the team.

E.g. Conca kicks the ball inside fifty to a pack, Geelong clear the ball and run it through the middle, the ball is passed to a forward and Conca has already run hard back into defence effects the spoil.

He will be credited with a pressure act but not the fact that he sprinted 80 mt. back into defence to help out.

Conca will always make the odd mistake as other who work at the coalface do but what he adds to the team far outweighs those mistakes.

Another poor game
Can’t kick, misses targets too often.

Agree his good is really good. But also manages his fair share of really dumb things. That's what you get with Reece, it ain't going to change so to avoid frustration, best to embrace the good.

Re: Reece "2018 Whipping Boy" Conca

If he avoids kicking it as much as possible he is OK.

Rain helps equalise his kicking.

Re: Reece "2018 Whipping Boy" Conca

Hey Concs is on 99 games. Start pumping up the volume for his 100th Baloo.

Despite the discussions on here on pros and cons, terrific that he can get the milestone after all his injury setbacks.

Seems well loved by the group and does give it 100% every time he plays.

Bad call, he was not poor. Yes he is a poor kick and does miss targets but overall he played pretty well. And has earnt his spot. Reckon KMac goes out before this guy if everyone is available.

Re: Reece "2018 Whipping Boy" Conca

His pressure was excellent yesterday. He's winning me over.

Mighty pleased that for all the injury set backs Reecey has suffered over the years n the curse of pick 6 that he's finally made it to his hundred games for the Tiges. Now we get first dibs on any little Giuseppe the Concareters that may have talent in the future.
Reckon Reecey's entitled to a return cuddle from every player on the team for his hundredth.
