Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

His game this year shows you what a difference a full pre-season makes for a player.

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

Solid from the Concareter

Did some good things in close and defended well in the air. Kicking was neat all night

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

Was very good. Has been solid all year.

tigersnake will be rightly proud.

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

Amazing the difference a couple of functioning hamstrings can make to a players ability and career.

Grimey Grub n Concareter two of the worst pairs of hamstrings in the game at one stage. Both playing bloody good footy now that the hammies are working properly.

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

he is starting to show the form some of us knew he was capable of. playing very well down back. good hands, generally good ball use, tackling well, and thinking his way through traffic.
i have been surprised by how effective he has been in the air. he is listed at 185, but has always appeared smaller, but his ability to defend against marking forwards has been a revelation IMO.

That hard ball get on Garlett in the goal square was incredible. Not only did he destroy Garlett he got the ball to Short, who kicked to Roli, who then kicked it to butter, who then kicked it to Caddy... Who scored the sealer.
Great tough game

Agree with this. That effort in the goal square at a crucial part of the game was phenomenal. Good old fashioned hard nosed football.

He's not my favourite but he had a great game last night and has had a great start to the year. All credit to him as he was just about on the scrapheap at the end of last year. Wanted a trade but didn't get a sniff. The way he has come back this year is a great credit to him and the club. Really hope he can keep it up.

Yep that was brilliant mopping up from Rance's error. Tough & composed. Great back pocket play.

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

What an injury free preseason makes. Has been incredible this year.
It's Glen Archer incarnated

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

Rapt for a player struck down numerous times and playing good footy.

Found a spot down back who can play as a mid swapping with Nick

Well played Conca

Good start to the year

Massive game Sunday

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

Is proving to be a better player than many thought (including me) and is, at this point in time, a better and more reliable contributor to the Tigers down back that Vlastuin.

Conca has been very strong in the air defending which has been a welcome surprise. I don't think is marking ability is a strength of his hence the surprise. Great to see Conca perform, and long may not it continue.

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

going better than solid. Evasion is composed and classy. Makes the odd blue but so do all our good players, thats the way we play now, take the game on. Seeing him up close at training at the Gabba, he is a serious tank. Onya Reecey.

Re: Reece "Italian Stallion" Conca

If it wasn't for his injuries we'd be listing him in our "A Grade" column of players. Probably for the last couple of years at least. He always had it and showed it. He just needed a break from injuries

He'd be close to it n ow. Without injury he would have made the curse of pick 6 harder to spot.

Re: Reece "Can You Feel The Love" Conca

Time to rotate him through the midfield?
