Hopefully for Reece he can finally get a run at it. Saw a picture of him the other day and he looks lean and fit.
He is no pick 6 but if he can get a full pre season we can at least see what a fit Conca can offer

We took him at pick 6 so lets hope that he can get over the hammy problems he's had and pack us back for hanging in with him. His best footy is very good and he will be desperate to atone next season because it will be all over for him if he doesnt

This is all very sad. Why not give the guy a break Whether he was entitled to be picked up at 6 is now long history. The pessimists here don't even want to see him get on the park next year. Conca probably can't wait for Morro and Townsend to get on the park to share the vitriol unless of course the doom merchants have us 0 - 6 rounds when Dimma will consume all. As a person who has supported the Tigers since the 1950s I have always been optimistic that better times will come (maybe by May in most years I become a little more philosophical). Up to now I am optimistic, was staggered at how well we traded given past performances. Drafted reasonably given our position in the picks. Would love Conca to play 16+ games as would probably do wonders for his confidence. I would hate to have had the weight of expectations this guy has had on him

Hamstring problems n the fact that the club has form in Fiona / Pav or Bling / Buddy selections means that Concs was gunna get bashed regardless of how he played.
Heppel was the obvious, Concs was the easy meat for the angry mob to tenderize.
Yep. Not the Concareters fault we *smile* up n picked him so early, instead of Heppel. If he hadn't been a walking Hammy special I've no doubt the Concs would have at least been a pretty decent player.Gazmatron said:

At the time Im pretty sure we didn't need a LMID type, there wasn't much to suggest he would turn out this good - albeit chemically enhanced !!!

The thing is that people who watched a lot of W.A. footy didn't rate Conca that highly before the draft and were shocked that we used a first round pick on him. They had been proved correct long before Conca's injuries as he had barely played a handful of decent games but was continually selected as one of the favourites who kept getting matches to somehow validate the decision of those who made the pick.

I'm a fence sitter with Conca, I see the bad like his critics, I see the good stuff his fans see, I just would like to see him stay fit for an entire pre season and real season and can improve to be a good bottom 6 player.
