Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

IIRC he hardly had a pre season hence Dimma expects him to get better as the season wears on. Still not sold on his footskills though as displayed by that weird little turnover wedge kick close to the boundary the other night but then again he had superb vision and execution on several other occasions. He is enthusiastic and practically always first on hand to celebrate goals if you notice.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

He was close to BOG on the weekend.

The best thing that we have done over the last few years is use our first round draft pick on a big-bodied mid with reliable skills. Martin, Conca, Ellis and Vlastuin are as good a quartet of young midfielders as you will find at any team.

We now have the luxury of rotating Deledio and Martin across half-back and using their superior kicking skills to set up the play whenever we want. We don't lose anything at all when Conca goes into the middle.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

"He (Conca) is certainly finding his feet. What he has got is an uncanny ability to find his teammates through the heat of traffic," Hardwick said

Love this quote from Hardwick. This has been evident with Conca from very early in the peace. He's excellent in traffic.
Played well and shapes as an important player over the back half of the season.

Some ratings thing on the afl app had Conca Vickery and Jackson as our best

Good to see Conca and Vickery in the mix.
Jackson, the patron saint of AFL.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Showed some real courage dropping back in front of Big Ben and copped a knee in the back - Then 30 seconds later made the tackle after the next stoppage. Tiger tough!

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Gee I thought he was very ordinary today by foot and he was pretty quiet too :-\

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Thought he was a solid contributor tonight without standing out. Tracking nicely, will be (already is) a very good player.
