Cloke might have snagged a couple more goals, but perhaps Rance might have been able to fight back.

There is one thing for sure though, chasing Dane Swan around the middle did nothing for his development as a key back.

Agreed to all of that. He was in the midfield last week as well, it is the height of ridiculousness to do that.

He has some deficiencies but I thought he played well tonight. Attacked the ball hard and 10 of his 11 kicks were effective. Just needs that confidence to back himself instead of panicking. I'll only give a player criticism if they deserve it.

Needs to be played as a proper defender. Thursty goes off injured and we still don't play him as a defender.

Agreed. Hopefully the new coach can see that. He is a good size (193cm?) and is already a big boy.
 
With his body size and running ability I don't mind him being pushed into the midfield but his lack of foot skills only add to our woes in that area.
 
Agree too...Good to see both Rance and White in the top 5 effective kicks tonight.
 
spme of the more senior players wouldnt go astray in looking at rance's endeavour and attack on the footy

still wouldnt give you two bob for white. not an afl standard player.
 
hmm i reckon he might get a week as well for his little jab at buddy. next time i hope he does it properly and knocks him into next yr.
 
He is the new JON - gets the ball and you can be 100% sure he will turn it over.
