R3 Changes v GWS

Just think we are trying to move rioli up the ground too far and we are not seeing any benefit from it, oppsition would love to see Dan at half back rather than half forward where he is most damaging, most riolis are impact players with less touches it appears to me that is exactly how Dan Rioli is too so let him play inside 50

Would rather see anyone but Weller in the side at the moment, not that quick, not great skills and looked old and slow against pies and didn't do much against blues.

Reckon we lose Riewoldt for 6 to 8 weeks and Grimes for a match possibly so Markov and Ellis probably survive one more week.

Is it just me or do our players look *smile* scared when they are faced with what should be a simple set shot at goal, I said to my son last night Castagna would miss and Dusty they didn't look comfortable taking a simple set shot, thats not good enough at this level
 
In: Moore, Balta, Ross, Baker, Bolton, Bachar

Out: Reiwoldt, Grimes, Weller, Ellis, Castagna, Oleg

Garth only played 3/4 in VFL and was limping after game so not sure of his status
 
How did all those guys you mentioned go in the VFL Caesar? Do you reckon Balta would play back and Moore forward/back up ruck?

Jack Ross has been BOG the last 2 weeks in my opinion and performed well in 1st JLT against Melb.
Baker been in top 3 last 2 weeks.
Balta played back and whilst didn't star took a couple of strong grabs and a couple of attacking runs and nice kicks.
Moore the only viable option forward if Balta plays back unless Garth is fit and then they may play Balta forward/ruck and Moore misses out.
Shai has had a couple of very good weeks, (probably the = of Ross yesterday), and let's face it he has more pure talent than Weller/Butler or Castagna so need to have another look.

Couldn't believe seeing Jaaack in the ruck, shocking management from the coaches IMO.

To solve the issue, (BBB) Bring Back Balta.

All the players you mention should be ins. Ross for Weller. Moore for Jack. Balta for Markov. Shai for Castagna. Would also look at Aarts for Butler. Need one more to replace Ellis.

Unfortunately i think Garth needs at least a month in the twos to overcome soreness he will be dealing with after every match. Comes straight into the side once he is fit.

The other one i think needs to seriously be looked at but won't is Astbury. Slowly becoming a massive liability in the backline especially without Rance there to give him a chop out. Very slow, average one on one and provides zero rebound.

Out Jack, and any one of about 5 small forwards. Preferably Butler

wouldnt be adverse to giving Ross a run as well. Our midfield needs options.

Yep, Dimma doesn’t make wholesale changes so I’m gunna agree on Balta and Moore for Jack and Weller. Butler and George to be very lucky.

Edit: Grimes has got a week so Houli to replace.

Out JR8, Grub, Weller and 1 of the 3 Amigos

Not sure after one week the broom should come out however as it doesn’t matter what I say Coach Brightside is going to say take another week off Bash, let’s see what Paddy can do back there , Lego I’ve backed you in and you looked lost mate, you’ve got the big moustaka the hipster Tatts all perfect for showing off in front of 80k at the G and you serve up that sh!t , im giving you another run this week, turn up or shut up.

Balta your in, though I think your better suited to the back half , the clubs situation says we must play a competitive second ruck like yourself, who in 2 games has set up 2 monster goals that no other ruck in the comp could do, you will also be playing down forward due to Jacks absence and all I want you to do there is lead and fly hard, just compete, your a beautiful kick of the footy so take your shots when you get them , take your time, follow your routine.

Dan your one of my favourite 22 people on the planet, but your been found out as nothing more then a pressure forward, if Edwardo Betts played in this forward line he’d kick 70 a year, yes Dan I know your roles not the same, however your form is poor and I’m goin to give a much more gifted player in Shai a chance in your spot, I’m also going to encourage to push up the ground and use his flair to take the game on an Shai when you come off the ground you better be spewin your guts up as we will not except p!ss poor efforts after 3 pre seasons.

Jack, jAck Ross that is, well son your doing exactly what I want a fringe player to be doing, your knocking the *smile*ing door down , actually you’ve knocked it down, your in son, well done Jack and if you get anywhere near the number 4 of GWS just crunch the fat headed ...........bloke.

Aarttsy, let’s prove this wasn’t a token gesture getting you on the list, get out there it hurt a few.

RCD I know your struggling to run a full lap without getting a stitch, however your a rare special beast and you know what I’m not thrilled with our elite pressure players who have a couple to many faults so you know what your in and you going to show what happens when you give a class p,Ayer the ball inside 50.

Sausage , let’s talk son, women ::) I understand young love, we’ve all been there, however for 3 hours a week let’s just forget about the future Mrs Rioli and go out there and be one of the great Rioli , put on a show, you bring thousands through the gates, give em what they want to see .

I have no idea wha5 will happen at selection except Jack been out and I’d imagine Grimes will get 6 weeks the way we get treated
 
It seems like the proverbial deckchairs at the moment. The GWS will give us a good slapping.

Grimes and Jack out as well. *smile* me.
