R23 team changes v Brisbane

Just watched the replay...either Rioli or Ross out for Cotch. Chol will be a harsh drop for Nank.

Didn’t Broad destroy Cameron in 17 granny? Hope Cameron is still worrying about that like the rest of Adelaide.

he nearly snapped his leg early, but battled on bravely to be one of their best on one leg.

Baker has to jump fully outstretched just brush the other players' armpits. Sorry too small and no Meatball. Can't see what he brings for us in September? It shines me he was in for Stack on the weekend - and look how that has turned out.

Firstly, he isn't hitting those targets enough, if we was I'd be on board with the thinking. Second, first opportunity? are you serious? This is the 10th opportunity to drop Short!

Yet they aren’t.

Amid the elite (we’re fourth) man management and consistent selection, and superb performances by the back six as a unit this year, you and others want to continue to hound Shorty?

Your prerogative, but it’s silly.

No amount of weird cherry picking will change how silly it is.

And it’ll look even sillier in September.

Baker should be dropped because he's short? 11 years on PRE for 54 posts and thats the best you can produce my friend?

I would rather take a short guy who can play football over a tall guy who can't play every day of the week. Height should not be a factor in deciding if someone should be in the team or not.

Cotchin for Ross and probably leave it at that. Rioli is lucky for now. Another wet day predicted for Sunday (4ml rain).
Would love to see Nank back, but it appears we won't see him until September.
I'd rather drop this game and end the home and away on 5th than risk exacerbating injuries aiming for fourth.

Im not a Short fan, and would've preferred to see Stack back, but i reckon Sunday was a big test for our backline, and besides a shaky start it performed magnificently.
I can't see it changing from here without injury, or someone kicking 20 goals against us.

If he, or Baker, was to be dropped it could only be for Stack, who probably won't be back, or for a half back in the 2s. Eggs, Kmac, Naish, or Pickett. Pickett is the only chance, and I now doubt he will be rushed back, unless injury strikes.

I too watched the replay last night, and thought Rioli's pressure all game was brilliant, and back to his best. Things didn't work for him on the day but they'll come if he keeps that pressure up. I'm predicting good footy at the right time for him. Stays for mine.

Sound logic. Pickett is close I feel, but might have run out of time. Too close to finals now and as you say, Sunday was an effective audition for the back six (seven).

Tend to agree (but I’m only at half time on the replay so far)
I am a Rioli fan but still reckon there are good signs that his game is on the improve and I would have him in the side for sure.

The Short haters forget who the head coach is. Do they really think Hardwick would play Short if he was shirking or substandard defensively?

I still think hes a good Achilles heel

But thats a good point

Never gonna have 22 perfect blokes.

shortys imperfections worry me, but yeah ill trust the MC

Rioli won't be dropped. Few fumbles and poor decisions but the pressure was there.

I wouldn’t drop Rioli either. Just around the corner for a huge game. Pressure was there.
