So every time a West Coast small got near the ball he was Short's opponent?Was he on Ryan when he took that speccy?
Wonder why Baker was berating himself after the Rioli goal?
Wonder why Short didn't spoil on the line for the first goal. Being 50 metres away would be typical Short malingering.
Still not convinced Short will bring it to the table in September.
MC obviously see things I don't (and that's fair enough) but watching the game he doesn't inspire confidence in me.
When the heat is in, it's frenetic and the pressure lifts I just don't see Short rising to the occasion sufficiently enough.
Stackman's injury probably saves him now.

Why would you drop Ross and bring KMac in? KMac was hardly in it first 3 quarters of VFL game and only brought his A game out in the last and even then he missed half his targets. KMac is done for this season, hasn't excelled at VFL level and therefore should not be rewarded imo.
I agree. He would have never experienced playing in a game like that before. The kid was out on his feet but he was still working his arse off until the last second of the game. He will be much better for the run.
I agree as well. Happy for him to stay in but he needs to clean up his disposal. He's had a few really bad turnovers in the couple of games back from injury.

just to repeat my line from last week, Rioli deserves to be dropped, but won't be. There isn't an obvious replacement with Butler out of form and Higgins on the sidelines. When you see Lambert and Graham start forward after goals, you know the coach is worried about the lack of pressure being applied by our small forwards atm.
I have also decided that Soldo deserves to stay ahead of Nank. Nank's fitness is a concern and Solo's hitouts to advantage could be a huge plus in finals. I also think its too late to replace Chol with Balta.
And i don't get why people are backing up Ross so much. didn't see him all day and missed a clutch goal. Cotch replaces him next week 100%.

Caddy played well, thought Broad is important as part of our back setup and won’t be dropped.

Chol hasn't touched it in three weeks and he was not that competitive in the ruck. If Nank is fit he comes in for Chol. especially if Grimes misses as Nank can play a loose tall down back role. If not Balta comes in.

He could play Ellis' role (runs all day and is taller, stronger, tougher)........but Ellis was OK yesterday and won't be dropped.
KMac will be praying Ellis leaves the Tiges next season.
