Potential Father/Son thread

I heard someone who currently lives on Melville Island and will soon hopefully be coming to Melbourne to attend boarding school is an absolute jet and absolutely has the potential to be better than a couple of his relatives.

Naish sounds like the FS we have been waiting for since Richo. Although much prefer a Key position player. Since then

Bourke - too skinny, not good enough.
Roach - too small, not good enough
Raines - one very good year but just no where near the caliber of his father.

We are due for a few good ones, coupled with our indigenous zone this may be what propels us toward a flag over the next 10 years... by then nudging my mid 50's and still waiting RFC !! :-\

Spoke to someone on the "inside" today. Non Richmond.

Described Pat as slow mo in traffic and then bursts.

as in, Pendlebury slo mo? or Astbury slo mo?

In what way SCOOP?

Two first rounders gives us huge flexibility at the trade table & having access to a gun father son pick at reduced rates allows us to be more aggressive bringing in top end A grade experienced talent as well as building the young talent.

21 seconds in Number 14. MJ Rioli?

Not linking properly but do a search. Lovely little glimpse

PRE censor at play. Where you see a- in the url, add fl after the a
Nope, that didn't work for me either.

EDIT:Finally found the video by searching the SBS site.

:headscratch I can't figure out why Baloo's suggestion doesn't work since the search gives the same URL you get by doing his suggested edit.

a-goals should be a**-goals with fl. being the **

If that doesn't work just use the SBS website search and look for 'next generation players' which is how I found it

certainly looks and moves like a maurice colt.

he actually takes a contested grab and hits the ground at full tilt, in a maurice'esque 180 deg pirouette, right at the end of the clip also

edit. a bit of scratching about, and it can be confirmed that No14 in the clip is indeed the youngest son of Maurice Rioli, MR Jr. teamsheet has him at 175cm already.

take a look at the little cameos, and marvel at genetics, in the clip.

like a few blokes said, search 'AFL next generation' in the SBS homepage and watch the clip. :fing32
