Picks 32, 34 & 43

What about agility? I was surprised he was only 192cm. Lumbers around like a 202cm ruck.

He measured in a bit over 193cm and his agility is excellent in fact in the top 2% of the agility test.

His sprints were: 5mt 1.07 70% 10mt 1.75 73% 20mt 2.94 78% and the repeat sprints 25.19 87%

Might be a case of perceived body language misleading you.

Been watching some of the highlights on the AFL site.

Some that caught my eye for the second round picks are Josh Saunders (reminds me of a young Foley), Matt *smile* and Josh Simpson (will he slide).

Anyone know any more about these young blokes.

Don't think Simpson will slide but Matthew *smile* is a gun.

*smile* will be hard-pressed to pass the no *smile* head policy. Will be a massive slider.

sorry. pathetic. (me i mean) :p

Moving forward ..... and backwards, he could fill a need though.

Picks dont change -
The AFL has accepted an adjournment of the Kurt Tippett salary cap hearing sought by Adelaide, meaning the Crows will be free to participate in next Thursday's national draft.

My gutfeel is that it is unlikely that we will pick up a talented junior at 32, 34 & 43, and that one or two of these picks would be better used on boys like Jacobs or Toy.

Toy hasn't nominated for the ND

Hmm!

Then Jacobs, or some other akin to him, would be an option.

Such as? I think you'll find the cupboard quite bare in that regard. It will be PSD and rookie draft for the retreads.

geez. thought we might get a free kick in draft for once. Ah well, fair enough I suppose if the process isn't concluded. Hope they throw the book at 'em when the process is concluded though

In the past, that has been the most likely case.
However, from what I recall, we have only 4 openings on our senior list.

If we use all 4 ND picks on juniors, we mightn't have a PSD pick.

Our history with 3rd round and later ND junior picks isn't great.

Reckon Jacobs would be a good get, and more likely to play more games than one of our regular picks 30+.

I quite like Jacobs but I'm not so sure FJ is that keen in him, from recollection the question has been raised with Blair Hartley and the response was lukewarm.

As for vacancies, we can still put Newman on the veteran's list which means 4 draft picks and 1 PSD pick.

Yes, I kind of remember that when Jacobs came up the first time.

Hine is the only one. Speaking to a few his kicking is a query. Jacobs is a bit ordinary for mine. May as well have a crack in the draft.
