The under rated part or the fact he'll possibly go earlier?

Well they go hand in hand.

Don't hear him get talked about much around the traps.

The good option part. What have you seen that I haven't?

Great time of year with all the highlights packages easy to get carried away if you rely solely on them.
Nevertheless just saw the package on Brandon Jack (BF Chris25 draft) brother of Kieren.
No need to say that he has courage and toughness goes with the genes. Also a decent size for a mid and has lots of speed, and very good hands. Reminds me of his brother when he first arrived at Sydney, many doubters but has worked his way into an A+ player. Character and potential for a late pick, may not be around for a Rookie because of NSW zone.

For those in the know is it fair to say that Mayes and Atkins are two who play a similar game? If so what separates Mayes from Atkins?

Thoughts about Spencer White? I've heard he's a massive tosser, but could be a great player if he got his head on straight?

made some comments about him on another post that i cant find now...lol
he seems to me very much in the buddy mould, though his skills look cleaner and he looks much more co-ordinated in his kicking, marking, even when he was running bouncing the ball, he looked clean and totally in control.

a player of his ilk and ability is a bona fide match winner. if he reaches anywhere near his potential he would be a hugely valuable commodity as a match winning fwd.
if hes available at our second round picks, i reckon we would be mad not to take a punt on him. as i said he could turn out to be a real match winner and tall fwds with what looks like being his skill set do not grow on trees. would be a perfect fit for us as a FF/CHF/FP. we need one more tall fwd and this guy could be anything!

Mentioned in the paper today that the crows have all but conceded that they will be cut from the draft. With this result and the father sons are our second round picks effectively 29 and 31?

Yep, and if Melbourne are stripped of their picks it will effectively make them 28, 30 and 39. Then if Jacobs and Tippet enter the draft and go before our picks they'll be 26, 28 and 37. :)

Don't forget that Viney and Daniher are locked in as well.

So if the above happens we could have live picks #7 (if Tippett gets picked up at #3 and Dee's lose pick #4), then live picks 24, 26 and 35.

And if the other clubs get the date wrong or don't turn up we'll have the 1st three picks. Oh the conundrum of that. ;D

The F/S had already been accounted for.

Not training with RFC according to this:

The interesting one from the article was Jackson Coleman, son of ex-Fitzroy/Sydney/Footscray Glenn Coleman, training down at Sandringham with the Saints.

Young Coleman has split priorities between footy and cricket.
I first saw him as a 14/15yo about 6 or 7 years ago, as part of the Richmond Cricket Club's junior development program, although he ended up playing cricket elsewhere.

I think, two seasons ago, 2011, he played as a 196cm, 91kg forward for the Sandy Dragons.
There he kicked 37 goals in 16 games and was in the best about 7 times.
He also played one VFL game for 2 goals.

In 2012, he played for Sandy in the VFL.
11 Sandy seconds games for 13 goals and 6 times in the best.

Also, 8 Sandy senior games for 15 goals, once in the best.

Not bad for a 20yo boy, playing his first season of VFL.
I believe that he still has a Cricket Australia U19 contract.

"A top-age spearhead for the Sandringham Dragons, Jackson Coleman is a 195cm marking forward who can pinch hit in the ruck. Coleman has played 14 TAC Cup games in 2011 for 34 Goals, including an impressive two goals for Sandringham in the VFL. A gifted athlete all round, held a contract with the Victorian Bushrangers as a fast bowler as well as representing victoria and Australia in their under 19s teams. But, the son of 194-game Fitzroy, Sydney and Footscray forward Glenn Coleman is putting himself on the draft radar. Coleman is a mobile athletic talent with good pace for a big man and a lot of potential."

I'm sure Francis knows him well.
Appears to be worth a closer look at.

Was hoping we would be looking at Jackson for a rookie spot

Looks like he has started to fill out nicely

Think he might be training with the Saints.

Pick #9 Vlastuin
Pick #32 Pongracic
Pick #34 Lowrie
Pick #43 Best rated KPP (ideally KPD) unless a mid we really rate slides

why on earth would pick 3 be used on Tippet ??

I doubt it will be. I reckon they would take the chance that only Sydney will look to draft him and wait.

We need Brisbane to talk him up so GWS snap him up early. Get it done Brissy. ;D
