Only one mans assessment but here is a full profile:

States disposal is a strength but kicking style is a weakness.

I would rather this than a beautiful kicking style that sprays it all over the place.

Hope the RFC don't try to fix something that isn't broken.

Yep. Ashley Prescott had one of the most beautiful turnovers ever.

Is it just me or do others quietly reckon this bloke is going to go alright ? Looks composed and links well and at pace.

Definitely has smarts, never seems to panic and will hold onto the ball until a good option arrives. The kicking style is a slight concern but that's the reason he's pick 72 & not up there with the likes of Watson, Cox & Maibaum.

You have to laugh at the AFL industry. Someone comes up with a more effective technique, so what do they conclude?

Don't teach everyone else how to do it, re-train the guy so he stops doing it.

It's not just the AFL. Check out basketball and the benefits of shooting free throws underarm. Breaking with convention seems a tough thing to do.

I agree, I am really excited by this kid, I have to say I didn't know much about him but having read and watched a few replays I think he was an absolute steal, especially as he can be a swingman.

Im hoping he has a ripper pre season and lines up round 1

Garthwaite has a plan for the ball. Sometimes the plan is inspired. The handball at 1:05 is the one I vividly remember. He's got a plan.

reminds me heaps of watching McGuane in the u/18 champs

We'll see I spose.

I hope that Ryan isn't penciled in as a defender.
With the departure of McBean and Vickery, and Chol possibly being a defender, there's a need to develop a couple of forwards in the VFL. His marking and goal kicking accuracy are very handy commodities.
I read somewhere that he is now 194 cm's, that's a nice size for a forward.
I was reading somewhere that before he played TAC he was a gun forward at his junior club fwiw

Most AFL level defenders started their careers as forwards. I think Tross might be the only real exception.

I read an article about him ( can't recall where) and the comments under the article were from someone who knew him when he was playing junior footy. He said the 2 handed drop came from goal kicking as he was a forward at the time

I really hope we give him a go as a CHF, griff is solid and mobile but cant hit the scoreboard, play griff down back or on a wing if need be, we haven't had a gun CHF for years, i still see Richo as more of a FF type same with Jack

He will be thrown in the deep end, because Griffens isn't the answer another disaster of a footballer.

Zips make an appointment with a health professional.

He will be lucky to put 3 games together without getting injured or knocking himself out running through the banner.
He is *smile*. Angus Graham clone
