Pick 53: Jack Graham

We sold Higgins for a second rounder and a first pick upgrade, and he was out of contract.

Graham is a significantly better player and in contract.

We're not going to demand a top 5 pick, but I would be filthy if we gave him away for a 2nd rounder considering what he has achieved.
It has to be pick 8 and we give them Graham and pick 19.
2 premiership player at 24 yrs old.
They can get fked otherwise.
They can use the Amon pick to get Rioli and still have the magical and mythical pick 19.

Really sad to see Jacky G go......but as Con the Fruiterer said....."thinking, thinking, thinking"...."ahhh dozen matta!!!"

Yep looks like Graham is all but gone.

I dont think Pick 8 will be part of the deal.

It would probably be the compo pick Port get for Amon.

I can’t get my head round that all these clubs want two first round picks for their players…including Taranto and Hopper. Graham is a 24 year old, 2 x premiership players, runner up BnF and future captain material. I hope we play as hard as some of these other clubs.

Caught up with big Ivan last night.
Nicest bloke you’d ever meet. Not an egotistical bone in his body
Reckon he’s gone. Alluded to it.

BTW he currently is recovering from a wrist operation and a knee and shoulder clean out. And then there was that massive hit he received in the last VFL game where he needed 6 stitches and had his eye completely closed up.
Playing in the ruck is definitely not for the feint hearted.

Except Dutch Holland
The OG tram tracks.

True story this, while at Melbourne did his shoulder playing VFL, had it checked by a nonclub doctor who told him he needed surgery, if you do an injury playing VFL and you miss weeks, you don't get AFL match payments the duration of the time you are out. If you do it playing AFL, a different story, you get match payments until you play again. Dutchy was on the verge of playing AFL again, strapped up the shoulder as tight as all get-up, and gets a call-up a week later.

The first quarter of AFL what do you know, shoulder goes. 16 weeks out.

No way you could describe Soldo as faint hearted

If he does go (I hope he doesn't), then if we can use his trade value to get Taranto in without giving up the farm it could be a good deal.

Pick 8 for Graham and 19?
Pick 8 for Taranto

Essentially Taranto for Graham and 19?
Taranto for Graham and pick 19?
Where do I sign?

I love Jack (who can forget the 2019 PF), but he has always been depth and...he does not get clearances. He isn't in the same ballpark as Taranto or Hopper. I trust that the club knows what it's doing.

But he is massive 2 way defensive runner, and only one of 2 or 3 we have left

I'd rather the RFC keep Fridge we need to keep the up-and-coming leaders to maintain the Culture.

There is no need to move Graham on especially considering Cotch will go next season.

RCD and Dow and Aarts can go so could George.

I’d say he’s gone. Hasn’t his partner always wanted to back home? Now it’s up to us to get the best deal we can for him.
