Pick 53: Jack Graham

RFC are the anti-dodoro.

We value people.

If jack thinks hell be depth with tarranto and hopper,

And the club agree,

Theylle let him go home and be best 22 at Port for unders

2nd rounder'ish.

This operating procedure isnt lost on managers,

Who then advise their players to take the RFC gig.

When trying to separate 2-3 offers.

Reputation is a valuable commodity

Again lets not forget we are losing Edwards , Lambert add Graham and we are still minus one. I guess the club thinks that Sonsie will take that next step to a full time role but second year blues hit most of the youngsters.

If its a great deal and he wants to go make it happen but we need lots of midfielders and Martyn , RCD are not going to cut it

Geez.
Quick fall from grace.
One minute doing the club interviews with the boys in the changerooms then happy at Richmond but just meeting up with Power whilst on hols.
Modern Footy.
I'd almost take it a step further and follow the Nrl model.
(players announce in advance where they are playing in future then play out the year at existing club)
Announce now he will be with Power in 2024.
Plays next year at Rfc> 100 Games Father son.
Then bye bye.
Win win.

He has probably already told the players he is going. Bakes got emotional when he mentioned Fridge and his girlfriend last night.

We sold Higgins for a second rounder and a first pick upgrade, and he was out of contract.

Graham is a significantly better player and in contract.

We're not going to demand a top 5 pick, but I would be filthy if we gave him away for a 2nd rounder considering what he has achieved.

If he does go (I hope he doesn't), then if we can use his trade value to get Taranto in without giving up the farm it could be a good deal.

Pick 8 for Graham and 19?
Pick 8 for Taranto

Essentially Taranto for Graham and 19?

It's modern footy. No hard feelings Fridge.

I wonder if we do 8 for Fridge and 29.

Pretty stupid of the boys to stroll up to the front door when they are trying to be covert. :ROFLMAO:

Triggering my PTSD from being caught with another Tiger midfielder at Homebush.

Richmond In - Pick 8, 26. Out, Graham, 19 and 30
Port In - Pick 30, Rioli and Graham. Out 8 and 53
West Coast - In Pick 19, 53 Out Rioli and 26

After that trade would leave us with, 8 12 and 26.

8 for Taranto
12 for Hopper
26 goes to the draft, keep our F1.
Soldo and our future 3rd for 21

Essentially - Out Graham, Soldo and F3. In Taranto, Hopper, 21 and 26

Good effort

Just questioning the value of Graham in all that @ about a pick 27ish. That would be unders in my view.

Although the end result works

I think we will need to accept a value in that 25-30 range. We all know how valuable he is, in the premiership years both he and Lambert were as important as the GOAt Dusty as they allowed him to do his thing. There was a reason why Dusty barely steps foot in D50, but I'm not sure on the open market he will be as valued on a trade perspective as we would all hope.

With retirements, delistings and savings on salaries to be paid to Cotch and Jack our pre trade and draft TPP picture is about to improve by as much as $2,000,000.
Some of this will go to assist GWS with its cap problem, and reduce the overall value of what should be needed to get Hopper and Taranto. (This will be done while keeping enough to honour commitments to new players as well as increasing the value of contracts previously entered into).

Picks 12, 18, 30 and 66.

a) Soldo plus 2 years at $400,000pa from our TPP and pick 12 to GWS for Taranto and pick 38.

b) Pick 19 to GWS for Hopper.

c) Pick 30 to GC for Bower and pick 7.

d) Castagna or Collier-Dawkins to Essendon for Bryant.

e) Graham and future 3rd to Port Adelaide for future 1st.

We give up Castagna, Graham and Soldo, (with salary) and picks 12, 19 and 30,
for Bower ($500,000x4), Bryant , Hopper, Taranto and picks 7 and 38 Hollands and
Young? (Rich vfl).

We also keep our future 1st and 2nd round picks and acquire Port Adelaide’s 1st.

They are not trying to be covert. Port tipped Channel 7 off for sure
