Pick 53: Jack Graham

3y would be a good term that would have him at fa at expiry which is a good position at 25-26. I see him as a valued player and priority signing , not at a silly price though

I can see the Crows trying to tempt us with Graham and CCJ in a package deal for a high draft pick but Pick 1 is too high so they would need to trade down. A top 10 pick would be tempting if we could get Hollands or someone like that.

Crows desperate for leadership, protection for Sloane who gets battered every game like Cotchin, and talented young talls.

Graham and CCJ being SA drafted players should be in their considerations.

We would have to consider reasonable offers.

He'll get a two-year deal at Richmond, won't he? If he took a longer deal it would be to insure against injury and fair enough. But the longer deal will have out clauses for sure, give Jack's history. And I wouldn't think it would be with us.

He can certainly get more money elsewhere.

Didn't he say he wanted to captain Richmond when he joined the club?

I recall Ross did, as almost the first thing he said in an early interview. From some players you could see it as ego and getting ahead of themselves. From Ross, I saw focus, maturity, clear-sightedness and a deep attachment to the club already.

Must sign him. Very good reliable young midfielder with proven performances in big games. Players like him at his age aren’t easy to find.

If they offer a ridiculous deal to him we need more than adequate compensation in return.

You’d think if he’s offered ridiculous money that would mean some currency trade wise , I reckon we will counter with 3-4y to give him security

Jack is now coming into his prime as a player using his body, hardness and nous to good effect. Even his playmaking has come on since 2017 so he has to be one for us to fight to keep. Players like him are not that easy to find

Graham is going nowhere! He's a kid with plenty of time, he has one Premiership medallion, with a potential two on the way, maybe more, who knows. Both he, and Richmond, would benefit more staying put for a while longer.

If Chimp is close to hanging up the boots then we probably need Jack to stay. And for Jack Ross to step up. Need RCD to start playing at AFL level too.

Those three should be able to cover Chimp's absence, but can we have 20 on the field?

Why not? Pies have 21 on the field every game.
