He's a hunter, super defensive game that will appeal to the powers that be. And he's super cool with the ball in hand, sizes up his options and delivers with accuracy. At pick 11, I think he's ours if we want him.

Liked the look of Nick Holman playing for the successful Kyabram Bombers yesterday in the GV GF yesterday. Apparently a good chance to get drafted and did his chances no harm at all!

Sounds like someone who will complement our current mids. We need a defensive minded mid to offset cotch lids dusty grigg who are more offensive. Mongrel With good skills and composure too. If he has a burst of speed too he sounds perfect for us.bullus_hit said:

Would take Salem in a heart beat, knows where the goals are- when he plays forward & plays well in the midfield (wing or in the middle),
Freeman has gone from top 5 towards low first round, he has been all over the shop in where he could go... Some good combine results should push him around 10-20, similar spot to where Salem is.

Assuming we dont bring in any Free agents, we are looking at end of second rounder for Matt White and mid third rounder for McGuane.
Asuuming we keep these picks, who do we look at in the second and third rounds with these bonus picks?
I actually like the fact that 2 fringe players could be replaced with bonus juniors - net result is no losee really (touch and go with whitey, he was starting to show a bit).
Will we keep the picks? Will we use them? If so, who on?
Thoughts?

Or if our recruiting staff are keen on a particular player, we could package the 2 x compensation picks and trade for one earlier pick.
Eg. Trade pick 40 (White) and pick 48 (approximates for the compo picks) for a pick around 28-31
And I would have thought McGuane's pick would have been worth more than Whitey's??
